Led by Yusuf Ahmed, Qwalia is a powerful four-piece that you almost certainly will have heard perform before, working as they have in the bands for Frank Ocean, Sampha, Jordan Rakei, Nubiyan Twist, David Byrne, Joy Crookes, Cat Stevens and more. 

Debut single Fool Me Once comes from a a series of improvised sessions at the infamous Fish Factory studio in West London, a studio that has hosted some of the most important UK jazz recordings of recent times. 

But you'd be forgiven for not believing this music is improvised. The skill, experience and natural sense for songwriting on show is fluid. Qwalia's music is deeply rooted in UK jazz and funk blending their influences into contemporary style with ease.

Making his RNT debut here is DJ VAS with a wide-reaching quartet of edit stylings. Originally a member of pioneering French-touch group Kojak, Vas' seasoned production approach really shines through on this package, whether in the blistering groove of Wizard Funk, the classic boogie of The Moment, the dub reggae styles of Alright, or the smooth-as-silk Cream. A legendary house record finds a new shine on its 20th birthday thanks to a spin from Dimitri from Paris. David Morales' original of 'Needin' U' was released in 1998 and retains its status as a seminal track in house music history. Then came The Face vs. Mark Brown's version, which was released first in 2009 also on Cr2 Records. Finally with the Parisian producer's remixing touch, 'Needin' U' is ready for 2018. It's out on Cr2 on May 25th.

No one knows where she comes from, where she is going or what she brings. In these volatile times that we live, we dedicate this song to trees whose breath nourishes our world.

"Respira + Remixes" EP features three exquisite remixes from three talented artists along with Santi & Tuğçe's original track. The remixes are by Chilean composer and producer Rodrigo Gallardo, Guatemala based producer/DJ Mose, and Berlin-based producer/DJ San Miguel.

All label proceeds from this EP will go to 8 Billion Trees Foundation that plants trees and rescues animals around the world, especially in the Amazon and whose mission is to "change the world one tree at a time".
