LB : HELLO, POURRIEZ VOUS DÉFINIR AUX BRINGUEURS CE QU'EST STRUCTURE ?

Hello, nous sommes Arthur et Maxime, respectivement Eize Baer, le nordiste et Nonaparte, le bourguignon.
Nous nous sommes rencontrés en 2013, lorsque le second proposa au premier de se joindre à la compilation Beats From Pyjama de l’association Da Pyjama Club qui rencontra un petit succès à l’époque (articles dans divers webzine dont les Inrocks). Depuis on se quitte plus et on a décidé de créer, d’un accord commun, une nouvelle entité sous structure associative.

C’est une idée qui nous trottait dans la tête depuis début 2014 et qui a pris forme à la fin de la même année. Notre but fixé, est de promouvoir les pratiques culturelles émergentes et plus précisément la musique électronique, en mettant en avant des artistes n’ayant pas toujours la visibilité escomptée via les réseaux sociaux.
Pour ce faire, nous avons deux chaines de podcasts : L’une 100% frenchies que nous avons nommé Abstract Structure. et l’autre Structure. Shapes qui elle est tournée vers les artistes étrangers.

Dans le groupe, on a Vince, le graphiste qui nous suit depuis toujours (dixit l’association DPC cité plus haut entre autre), en qui on fait totalement confiance, on se comprend rapidement, pas besoin de beaucoup de mots pour cela. On a ensuite Cyril et Julie, qui sont là depuis pratiquement le début de l’aventure, qui sont surtout dans l’organisation et nous aide sur l’administration au sens large de l’association.
De façon toujours spontanée, on marche plus au feeling qu’autre chose, on a agrandit le groupe, en y intégrant Robin Dupont qui est aussi fondateur de l’association Mercure (Strasbourg) et qui fait du très bon boulot là-haut.
Puis Dykore, que les lyonnais connaissent déjà, sous entre autre, le label Nashton Records, qui sont d’ailleurs les premiers avec qui on a eu des affinités sur Lyon.
S’est joint au groupe, dernièrement, la lyonnaise Diane, qu’on ne présente plus ici, et la parisienne Eastel, que les parisiens commencent à voir et revoir un peu partout dans la capitale.

Comme dit plus haut, on marche beaucoup au feeling, au naturel, la simplicité, l’authenticité, c’est probablement ce qui fait aujourd’hui notre force, et on en est assez fier.

Tiptop Audio is proud to introduce a new project for 2015: Tiptop Audio Records.
In the recent years musical productions have seen a remarkable return to the use of hardware through analog synthesizers and digital control interfaces. This trend has proven so strong that it prompted a rebirth of modular synths in a new format (eurorack).  Tiptop Audio has made a name producing sophisticated but easy to use modules, designed to form a complete system that is especially effective for dance-oriented productions and live sets.

Tiptop Audio Records selected for its first issue some of the most groundbreaking artists using such systems, to present a range of artists who, through their tracks, explore the landscape of dance music in a very fresh perspective.  These are the artists who inspire the Tiptop team to make more innovative devices, which in turn make new music (a nice feedback loop).

ANGLE, BLAWAN, CHRISTIAN BURKHARDT JOAO CESER, JOHN TEJADA, JOSEPH FRAIOLI, MOE ESPINOSA (DRUMCELL), KINK, RICHARD DEVINE and SURGEON each contribute a track stamped with their own style and vision.  Tracks range from Surgeon’s trademark hard minimal beat, to Kink’s gauzy dreamscape, while Richard Devine and Joseph Fraioli explore the outer reaches of beat based music.  The Phase VI team (John Tejada and Moe Espinosa AKA Drumcell) produces an endlessly shifting set of percolating rhythms, Christian Burkhardt and Joao Ceser put some 21st century twists on classic dance floor patterns, ANGLE lay down effortless, sophisticated Continental style and Blawan adds some industrial toned menace.

The release will initially come as a double vinyl edition, with a cover painted by the artist Matteo Giampaglia, and a digital download version will follow.
An original video teaser will introduce the compilation, then other videoclips of the individual tracks will be realized by exciting new visual artists.
