Paradise Palms goes from strength to strength as it forges new paths through 2017. The dive bar and venue turned vinyl record store & label recently announced its second release in the form of a digi-single by Parisian Art-Noir experimentalists "Hey Mother Death", with their third release taking the form of a dance floor oriented 12” of specially curated remixes for Record Store Day 2017. This limited pressing includes remixes by fourprogressive new dance artists prominent in Edinburgh & Glasgow. A1: Glasgow’s Mr TC and a LYO fave opens the show and contributes a dark, chugging, psychotropic interpretation sure to please fans of his highly regarded EPs for Optimo Music.

PREMIERE : Hey Mother Death - Deranged My Love (MR TC Remix)

Norwegian producer and DJ Marius Circus has been steadily building a name for himself via support from the likes of Prins Thomas and his Full Pupp imprint and of course the steadily growing following he’s built for his very own In The Garden imprint which has gained support from Nu-Disco luminaries like Ewan Peason, Andrew Weatherall and Pete Herbert, a telling sign of the quality embodied in this Oslo based artist’s material.
Title-track ‘Had No Clue’ leads here, a sun-drenched slice of dropped tempo house fuelled by bubbling arps, choppy resonant synth licks, airy atmospherics and soft bumpy rhythms. Next up hot off the back of his Ben UFO and The Black Madonna backed Studio Barnhus single Matt Karmil steps up to stamp his unique mark on ‘Had No Clue’, stripping things back to a soft, ethereal feel led by fluttering synth swells, sweeping pads and rumbling low end.
The original of ‘Tyst’ opens the B-Side with chugging square-wave bass, dynamically evolving twinkling arpeggios and crunchy drums before Anton Klint’s remix rounds out the package, edging into darker realms via howling reverb burst, eerily unfolding atmospherics and the original gritty bass at its core.

After noticeable appearance on Le Temps Perdu & Fleeting Wax imprints, Alex Pletnev landed with his new EP to KUMP nest - Lyon based label which represents obscure & industrial sound. And "Ninja Cuburru" is quite about KUMP’s predilection. EP starts with title tune Ninja Cuburru - slow and foggy, with rare oriental passages. “Faitau” continues oriental mood - roughly sampled percussion goes hand by hand with synthetic Moog baseline. 3rd one, “Rotating thing” is a heavy & minimalistic EBM dj tool, which could be a perfect pick time option either for warehouse raves or for tight basements. Remix support is represented by Neubau’s boss Heap who added a great groove above "Ninja Cuburru" psychedelia. While Vilnius based trio Siaubas slowed down “Rotating thing”, deconstructed it and rebuilt it back not without a help of a dark witchcraft. Ninja Cuburru hits all major stores in November while for digital release you will have to wait a little bit longer.

2018 was a strong year for @NightNoiseMusic and there are promising signs that this fine form will continue into 2019. Kicking off the new year with an EP from Berlin/Barcelona based duo @Señora, the duo are musical magpies taking inspiration from all around them, utilising pulsing electronics, animal calls, voices, cries, chants, howlings, bellowings, storms and stolen recordings to create musical joy. The EP features two original tracks 'Ritmo Casablanca' & 'Ugüaje Te - Tengo' which showcase the unique vibe the duo have when producing music.

On remixes duties are label mate @Tulioxi with this cracking rework of 'Ritmo Casablanca' and the always excellent 'James Rod'. This is a beautifully diverse EP which showcases a wondrous array of talent and one that starts 2019 with real style.

For our 10th release, we are very stoked to welcome Italian artist Chris Shape. 

Chris Shape is Cristian Camporesi, a producer, live performer and sound designer for over 25 years. He starts his career in some local new-wave electro bands, but his debut came in the early '90s, when the techno's wave broke in Riccione and the pyramid of Cocoricò (the biggest italian techno club) has spread it everywhere. He later on became a member of the emblematic electro duo « Franz & Shape ». 

Originally released through Unknown Pleasure Records, this dense electro-techno album features collaborations with our hometown's Blind Delon, as well as HIV+, IV Horsemen, Black Asteroids and Dave Inox. 

We’ve extended the album with two original tracks by Chris Shape, Orac and Scia, as well as remixes by Qual, Chainbreakers and OTHR.
