8/10/25 was definately a special ecstatic dance day for me. My mother came and watched me do my thang for the first time while we were honoring a month since my papa passed away right in the heart of where he use to live in the 80s. 

An upbeat Afro/house/latin mix of dancing fun with some other elements in between to bring some variety. 2 hours of dancing fun on the sand and with the ocean waves crashing. Was so beautiful. A couple imperfect moments as I was nagivating it being 1 month since my papa passed and getting into the space but quickly let that be and become a fun and groovy vibe. Life is imperfect, it's a part of it.

Come take a journey on my midnight set traveling through organic bass, downtempo, and ancient-future rhythms. This set bridges ritual energy with modern sound design—blending my originals with selections from artists who inspire the Southwest flow arts community. You’ll hear global-minded bass and “swamptronica/electro-twang” influences (think Dirtwire), world-electronic and ceremonial textures (Liquid Bloom), and boundary-pushing experimental/“world bass” (CloZee), alongside West-Coast bass pioneers (An-Ten-Nae) and more. So much love and gratitude to the flow artists who were blessing the space with the talented fire spinning at the festival, and to all the producers who inspire me to keep creating and having fun.

Played a private party to celebrate a one year wedding anniversary on 10/31-11/2 Weekend. I played Nov 1 and was feeling this middle ground of music where the bass hits, but not too hard and not too soft. Like a goldilocks mullet- just right. The theme was Labyrinth and it was very fun to embody my inner mullet fantasy. I had sprained my ankle and so was booty bouncing djing on 1 foot mostly and rocking out. 

Cowboy bass like dirtwire, Kr3ture, Siren & Seer, and Scott Nice mixed with latin alternative music like reggaeton, dembow, and baile funk, and then spiced with some booty trap and bass all mixed together to create an overall fun vibe. Sometimes in the darkest hours, its nice to feel the lightness. This set was that. An all time fun vibe with good energy.

A Black Rainbow is the optical phenomenon of low light suspended between the arc of parallel rainbows…and this mix is what that sounds like.  I feel it as a place over  a dance floor,  as a dark and dreamy environment; like a kelp bed where dancers moved with uniquely elastic expression and where the fluidity of somatic articulation became inseparable from the crepuscular rays of dappled sounds.  

The dark-in-the-light journey here is melt in your mouth and melt your body bass-scape. It imagines the sounds of molasses and glitter while it blends grit and glimmer. A through line of shifting tempos and textures is backed by a warm euphoria of moody, melancholy, sensuous, serpentine and occasionally, grimy bass. May the spectrum of sounds anchor each end of your rainbow.

Thank you to producer friends like An-ten-nae Mfinity, Arboreal, Bass Temple, AttyA, Ashez, Peace Sine, Skysia , Senza and DJs like  Haj & Kai, Reia and Qoi,  who pushed my own deep (crate) digging into realms of sound where many little known artists have recently impressed me In a big way.  Its a niche, esoteric sound I’m on the lookout for, for sure - but my entire musical life’s journey has always been rooted in the underground.  Surfacing now is this mix, a one-shot & one-take live set. I chose these tracks for the shape of their sound, their attitude, their tone, their  undefinable quality that feels right into my current sweet spot.
