Many years ago, I lived for a year in an old medieval town in Germany called Hann. Münden. I was a little lonely, and my heart was full of stories of knights, fairies, wolves, and mythical creatures. Fortunately, I am now happy again. I took the old songs out of my Cubase library, transferred them to Bitwig DAW, and remixed and rearranged them.

The Lord's Gentle Blacksmith

At the age of 21, I did my military service and became a member of the German Marines. I urgently needed a car to drive home from the barracks on weekends. I didn't have much money, so I bought a 10-year-old Opel Manta for $4,000. It was every working-class boy's dream. I loved it, the girls loved it, and the repair shop loved it. They couldn't get enough of the car.

In the 1970s, most of us trained in a trade. We saved up and bought motorcycles, had long hair, were wild, loved girls, rock music, and loud parties. Now we look old, but inside we've stayed the same. Hang in there, guys!

Dies Irae (Requiem for Heaven) marks the third descent from The Black Cross, a monumental chapter in the dark gospel of Dominion of the Damned.
Where the first two singles scorched the earth with fury and possession, Dies Irae opens the gates of heaven — only to burn them from within.

Led by Lilith’s haunting multilingual performance, the title track is a requiem sung in the tongues of the lost — French, Spanish, German, and Latin — a lament for the fall of light itself.
Michael answers with two of his most powerful works to date: “Wings of Dust”, a gothic metal elegy of broken angels, and “Blood Upon the Altar”, a relentless ritual hymn drenched in fire and sin.
The single closes with “Liturgia Obscura” — a brutal, defiant anthem where sacred Latin chants erupt into pure rebellion, sealing the unholy mass with guitars and thunder.
