Sooooo... first of all I have to say, it was not only my first time playing at Sisyphos. It was also my first time ever! So when a good friend showed me around I was stunned by this beutiful island. I mean, I've heard rumors and stories, but I had no clue. 

Than, when we entered the Dampfer, I had a little breakdown. An hour before my gig it was packed from one end to the other. I was so nervous! Planning on playing my usual sound I knew that I was at least 10 BPM slower than other DJs playing here. Would it work out?

But, yeah, what can I say... I was welcomed by a hungry crowd from the first kick on and together we hit it off for 3h straight! The first nervousness vanished and time flew by in a glimpse.  And than something unforeseen happened: playing my last track I was told that the next DJ was missing and that I will have to play another hour. This last hour was not from this world! It will stay in my heart for a very long time.

So here it is, my four hour porschride through Dampfer! From 3 am till 7 in the morning. I'm so thankfull for the people who made it possible and who joint & supported me. I could've not asked for more!

Da ist für mich ein kleiner Traum in Erfüllung gegangen. Ich kann gar nicht sagen wie aufgeregt ich war und gleichzeitig habe ich mich so sehr gefreut, dass ich schon Tage vorher nicht mehr richtig schlafen konnte. Die Sonne hat alles gegeben beim Gig, es waren unglaublich viele Freunde da - das hat den Gig für mich noch einmal mehr besonders für mich gemacht.

Took me a little while to wind down and process what happened at Fusion. Pfiouuuuuu… what a ride 🚀

So grateful to have gotten the chance again to contribute to this incredible festival. Playing sunset at Seebühne on Saturday evening to a sea of people, friends, family & so many familiar faces was such a dream coming true! Thank you all for coming & the vibes 🥹

I actually got the request to play at Seebühne quite last minute, just 3 weeks before the festival and with just 1,5 weeks left in the studio… F*ck me, this was stressful - as it was so important for me to show you what I’ve been working on in the studio, to play a set that’s fresh, truly feels like me and tells a story, like I always try to do. I also wanted it to be uplifting and create something that feels like a little breather - with everything that’s going on in today’s world.

It was pretty stressful and everything but easy to finish all these tunes in such a short period of time & find the right puzzle pieces (probably also because of my high expectations to myself) but from all the love and sweet messages that I’ve been receiving so far I guess I must have done an alright job 🫠

So yeah, thank you so much for all your love and appreciation and for more than 10k plays already! Truly means a lot🫰

…and it can’t be said enough, thank you Fusion! You absolutely nailed it!! So grateful for this wonderland without phones on the dancefloor, filled with so much love, art, surprises, the best music & most insane production… ❤️‍🔥

Sascha Cawa is a resident DJ at Kater and an essential member of the Holzmarkt 25 community in Berlin. He is highly respected as a DJ, producer, and an active member of the underground electronic music scene. Dedicated to his craft and passionate about music, Sascha stays true to the underground ethos that has shaped his career.

Sascha's love for house and techno music started in the 1990s when he began DJing. His performances have taken him to almost every renowned club in Berlin, as well as countless other locations around the world and to prominent underground festivals and events such as Garbicz, Fusion Festival, ADE, or Mayan Warrior.

In 2011, Sascha co-founded Katermukke with his close friend Dirty Doering, which quickly became one of the most influential imprints in the German electronic music scene. Although he left the label in 2015 to focus on his personal creative projects and interests, Sascha remains an active artist on the Katermukke roster, where he continues to push the boundaries of electronic music with his unique sound and vision.

Sascha has created a loyal following with his deep, emotive sound and released acclaimed EPs and singles on Katermukke and other respected labels such as Kiosk I.D., URSL, Upon.You, and Klaus:elle, showcasing his signature blend of techno, house, and electronica. His tracks are jam-packed with deep melodies, thrilling rhythms, and richly textured soundscapes, taking listeners on an emotional journey through the full spectrum of electronic music.

Beyond DJing, Sascha is proficient in producing, mixing, mastering, and coaching. He would describe himself as a nerd with a fascination for modular synthesizers, Drum Machines and a fetish for reverb plugins. In addition to supporting his friends and colleagues like renowned artists such as Britta Arnold, Dirty Doering, Nicone and many more, Sascha also helps customers from all over the world to bring their productions to a higher level.
