Wax Atom is a turntablist born in Philadelphia but raised in Gainesville, Florida. He was introduced to a variety of music at an early age by his mother Jaquieline and his father Robert Sr. He was first drawn to hip hop after finding a Fat Boys cassette tape that his cousin left behind. It wasn’t until he became a DJ in 1998 at the age of 18, that he really started to appreciate all forms of music and began to incorporate them into his act. His style of djing can be described as a mix of turntablism and a touch of the unexpected.
