Hard to believe that this record is now 10 years old.
 
The original is a great deep, house record that was featured on Nick’s ‘Between The Lines’ album on the brilliant Cécille Records. Then the one and only Dennis Ferrer got his hands on it and injected a whole heap of love and energy into it, creating a club anthem.
 
This one still sounds huge in a club whenever it gets dropped today.

Ouïe Circle is the new sub-label of Ouïe, the left-of-center label run by party legends Nico Stojan and Acid Pauli. 
With this new imprint, Ouïe Circle provides an additional playground for new talents and an outlet for more experimental music from established artists. The idea was drawn from plans for future Ouie label parties where the DJs or artists perform in the middle of the dancefloor, surrounded by the audience, creating an intimate vibe free of classic gig cliches. 

David Mayer, (who made his debut on Ouïe 2018 with his well perceived ‚The Call‘ EP) is first up - dropping two tracks created especially for this project. 

'Circle' is a dancefloor friendly psychedelic after-party jam built around a persistent rhythm, tricky percussion and an affecting vocal by Bastien Picot that gets heavily processed as the track develops.

'Pi' has a similar approach - an infectious, loopy groove, eventually giving way to synth melodies and crunchy percussive hits.

[IWR019] introduces the new co owners of Inward Records Sparrow & Barbossa with 'Ngbona' 3 track EP. Comprised with African rhythms and soundscapes to move the body and soul, the package also includes a remix from Inward front man Pippi Ciez, a heavy hitting rework of the original 'Ngomo' to finalise this 3 track masterpiece.

unique revisits. On A side, Multinotes head honchos Musumeci & Lehar team up and prop up a
lustrous bridge between Afro House and Melodic Techno, suturing the past to the future, with a
soothing, nocturnal remix of “Mawine.” The Italian DJ/Producers embrace the “Free
Life”(Mawine, in Frafra) as they rollick in moony synth riffs and celestial chords while staying
afloat in galvanic combers, wafting Stevo Atimbre’s Frafra vocals along, earthy and human as
ever, revved by a touch of retro futurism and cradled in transient euphoric feels. German duo
Cosmo & Kramer return on the label, purveying MBR401’s B-side. Groove-driven and jaunty,
the Cosmo & Kramer remix boasts a scintillating bassline, uplifting Atimbre’s vocals higher and
deeper. Coddled in plush percussion, warm claps and dainty notes, this mood-setting finale
offers sublime beats for an ultimate dancefloor meditation - an ideal sunset anthem for the most
quixotic daydreamers!
