AURA (June Mix)

I’m going to be taking a break from doing mixes for a while. I’ve been low-key dreading doing mixes for the past 4 months now. I’ve been afraid to tell you guys this because I know a lot of you look forward to these mixes every month and I feel like I’m letting you down.  I just don’t feel right anymore releasing a product that I’m not fully proud of or excited about making each month. 

Doing mixes really changed my life and gave me the chance to meet all of you. For this, I am forever grateful. I just need to take a little break right now and really focus on my own music. I don’t know how long this break will be, but I promise I will be back. I just need to find that little spark again. 

Till then, I leave you guys with this mix. This mix contains most of my music production and also some music that means a lot to me.

I was going to take a break from mixes to finally learn some production, but decided to put one last mix out there before I slow things down. I've been working still during quarantine so this mix as with most, is made with the little free time I have. It's filled with heavy melodics and cinematic vibes inspired from a lot of new songs and discoveries; Seven Lions' new EP, Danny Olson, and Nurko are just a few of many amazing inspirations in this mix. i made this set for@embracepastel 's OMNI 2 event, which is a livestream series dedicated to showcasing extraordinary audio/visual cinematic, narrative-based sets from talented producers and DJs. i was pretty honored and excited to be a part of this series, not only because it was my first time creating a visual set, but also because the story i wanted to tell, i believe, fits with the current atmosphere that we're all living in right now - how do we stay mentally, emotionally, physically,  and spiritually well during this time of crisis? how can we be happy with every thing going on?

for me, part of happiness is realizing the community we have, the support we have, and how we can find strength through each other... happiness is a process, and it takes a village.
