Hello Everyone, and welcome back to our weekly Exclusive podcast. Scouring the world for the coolest beats we can find, and the players making them.... THIS is the  Progcast.

Continuing on with our tour of England this week, we take a journey to the Midlands, where resides an artist very familiar with us. Continually pushing the boundaries, always testing the limits, and back for his second visit to the series, check this out.... from Kiz Pattison!

Birmingham (UK) based DJ and Producer Kiz Pattison, has over the last 9 years, slowly cultivated a unique darker edged progressive techno sound, a sound that is now in high demand.

In this short time, he's created an impressive discography with releases on some of the underground’s finest labels; Balance, BeatFreak, Forensic, Platypus, Renaissance, Selador, and Zero Tolerance, to name a few...

In the beginning, a young Kristian would find himself at clubs like Wobble, House Of God, Cream, Code/Air, The Bomb and Fabric, like so many of us being influenced by the sounds and skills of Sasha, Digweed, Burridge, Lawler, Pappa and Tenaglia. 

Its clear that these influences have forged Kiz's sound, then and now. As time moved on and Kiz delved into production, he called upon references from BT, Quivver, and Dave Seaman, evolving with them as they have evolved through the years.  

Now the circle is complete, as those very same artists now play and sign the tracks Kiz has to offer. Artists  like Anthony Pappa (Freefall), Simon Berry & Luke Brancaccio, Dominion(Nigel Dawson)and Pako & Frederik have all had the remix treatment by him. Whilst his own productions have been remixed by luminaries such as Stelios Vassiloudis, Hernan Cattaneo, Robert Babicz & Renato Cohen.

All of this attention brings the live gigs, and you can catch Kiz at I-Occupy in Hereford UK soon, with lots more in the pipeline too.

Here is my openingset (also own unreleased tracks included) from Saturday evening on Nacht Safari at de Helling, Utrecht 24th Sept 2022. I could feel the Equinox sun that day in the air. It was an honor and a pleasure to warm up the vibe at such a venue with the proper ambiance for my set before Monkey Safari, their second time in Utrecht ever. Enjoyed every single moment of it to play at Nacht Safari and hope they continue to bring their magic to Utrecht City

Dialectics (n.) – The art of investigating or discussing the truth of opinions. The discourse between two people holding opposing viewpoints view but trying to establish a common truth through reasoned discussion.

Born out of the renowned, best-selling Yin : Yang label concept, musical discourse is brought to life through the meticulous choices of Tripp Baronner – DJ, curator and full-time member of the Proton team. Presenting “Dialectics,” a monthly show airs on Proton Radio and DI.fm showcasing the finest underground music talent in two contrasting but inextricably linked hours.

Part 1 sees Yin thematically represented while Yang is juxtaposed through Part 2. Intimately interconnected while fluid by design, resident hosts alternate and interchange with guest artists to create a dynamic dialectical discourse.
