Venezuelan born, Berlin based producer Manao and forward thinking UK artist Tom Place combine on the collaborative ‘Vorticis’ EP, via La Bonne Musique. The impressive four tracker is rounded off by a remix by experimental club music producer and dj, alys(alys)alys of the title track. 

The idea behind Vorticis came from the concept of fusing elements of classic electro & dubstep. The concept of Vorticis was originally to see how a fusion of dubstep & electro sounds would work in a club environment. As the EP progressed they realised that it was more than just an experiment. They had carved out a new direction and were excited to share it with the world.

In Chinese and other East and Southeast Asian societies, a red packet (紅包) is a monetary gift which is given during holidays or special occasions such as the lunar new year, weddings, or birthdays.

As a follow up to last year's Red Packet Rhythms - Moody Grooves, Vol.2 comes in to play. Equipped with smooth blends, long loops and a dark, apocalyptic vibe, this mix aims to build through various different sounds that are all linked together with the same moody, intergalactic atmosphere.

Focussing on a juxtaposition between old tracks and new, with a pharmaceutical sample or two thrown in for good measure - 2 hours spanning minimal, techno, IDM, breaks and electro.
