Track written and recorded in a few hours for the songwriting blitz with the topic: Celestial Thief

The mix on this is definitely undercooked but I don't have the motivation to put more work in and would kinda defeat the point of the 24 hour challenge aha. Main focus was I guess on trying to make coherant use of space metaphors

Apogee

Wrote the lyrics for this a few years ago with the chords going back to when I had only been playing a few years and just learnt 7th chords. It's probably the original of mine that gets the most attention at open mics. I like it. So here is a simple acoustic demo version. One day i'll do the song properly, with a drum kit and a bass, and maybe finally figure out a nice harmony for the vocals.....

I've had the first two chords to this song for a couple of years but really wanted to do it justice by creating something that meant a lot to me. A friend of mine also told me to keep it, and i valued his musical opinion. 

So, I didnt want to use the first, second, or third thing that came to my head that i would have used to build the song. But i played and played it and the entirety of the song came from my heart at one point and not my head. 

I link the name "Power Through", to my heart. To power through the hurricane life hurls me into. Power Through what anyone tells me to do or how they think i should be living. Power Through and do what you want.
