Tresor meets Infrastructure - Opening Set, May 31, 2025

Electronic musician and guitarist, Sun Dawei is a very active composer in China. He started learning guitar at the age of fourteen, and later formed a punk band, which became the catalyst for him to open the door to music. Settled in Beijing in 1999, then began research and creation of electronic music, and at the same time began to dabble in Fashion Show, film, drama and commercial soundtrack work. After several transformations, in order to explore different music spaces. He announced a new musician project - CTAFAD.
In 2020, "Vertical Horizontal" was published on "Shanshui Music". In this album, you can hear "the original sound without too much modification, the sense of space like the atmosphere, and the ambitious ultrasonic experiment. In the end, an epic The core sound field has been carefully polished. The rhythm and bass line are proficient in interaction from the beginning, gradually unfolding and never extinguishing." In the subsequent release of "Vertical Horizontal Extended" and other EP albums, CTAFAD invited Claudio PRC, Blazej Malinowski, Atomic Moog, Polygonia, Laertes and IORI participated in the remix of the album.
A new music-making journey is driven by inner passion and exploration, collaboration and development. Slowly began to emerge in many foreign Techno labels. Such as: Sungate, Indefinite Pitch, Oslated, Secuencias Temporales和Melifera. At the same time, he also created a new music label "GSXS" - mind in thought, full vision.

This mix is inspired by the feeling of a forest hike, where everything slowly unfolds. Calm stretches shifting into sudden ascents or descents. The pace sometimes eases, while at other moments it drives harder and faster, echoing those bursts of energy found along the trail. Tracks have been chosen for their earthy, raw qualities, alongside others that bring sharper edges and dynamic tension, keeping the journey alive and balanced. Cio D’Or hardly requires an introduction, having long stood as both a pillar of our scene and a source of inspiration for so many. Over the course of her singular and decades-spanning career, the Cologne-based artist has cultivated a universe of sound entirely her own, immediately recognizable yet endlessly evolving much like the work of her contemporaries and collaborators Mike Parker and Donato Dozzy. To experience Cio’s music is to follow a throughline that traces the complex history of contemporary techno in a single gesture, compelled by the vast unknown and the primordial familiar in equal measure. Recalling the blurred realism of Richter’s photo-paintings or the timeless intricacy of Bach’s fugues, Cio’s self-contained sonic world delicately reframes our own precious lifecycle, a reflection revealed through its elegant and subtractive minimalism.

In collaboration with our friends at Mostra, I’m honored to share a selection from Cio D’Or’s set performed at this year’s edition of the Barcelona-based festival, a sublime triumph from a scholar of sound.

Our family member Deniz Bul is back with his "STILL SERIOUS EP" that includes two brandnew tracks.

The A-side "STILL SERIOUS" can be considered a striking representation of our label's musical direction with its vigorous drums and bassline on the one hand but also smart and beautiful scraps of
melody on the other hand. Home-made and bloody honest as we can expect it from Deniz as usual.

"BLACK SHEEP" takes up the A-side perfectly, however it comes around the corner with a more dramatic and hypnotic touch that demonstrates Deniz' multifaceted production skills.

Deniz, Deniz, Deniz, how come such a nice and humorous fella like you manages to continuously drop one hellishly deep, arse-kicking banger after another! Well, keep your recipe for yourself as long as

Many of you will need no introduction to the music of Primal Code, the Italian duo who have conjured up a storm of stunning releases on labels such as Hypnus, The Gods Planet, and Konstrukt in relatively short order. We first connected over their gorgeous, then-unreleased track "Morgana," and since then it's been a pleasure watching them develop their natural and introspective sound, each release as polished and inspiring as the last. I'm so happy to welcome them to the podcast and what they've sent is pure delight, an emerald  evocation of sun-pierced woods and the clearing of the morning mist. Enjoy!
