​Fourth Moon were born in 2014 from the meeting between two French musicians (Jean-Christophe Morel on violin and Jean Damei on guitar) an Austrian (Geza Frank - bagpipes and flutes) and a Scotsman (Mohsen Amini - concertina) on the occasion of the Willie Clancy Festival in Miltown Malbay, Ireland.
In 2016 the line up changes introducing David Lombardi from Italy on violin and more recently Andrew Waite from Scotland on accordion. The quartet performed as headliner in numerous international folk festivals such as the Celtic Connections Festival, Edinburgh Trad Fest, Le Son Continu Festival, Kilkenny Trad Fest, Celti'Cimes, the Vienna International Accordion Festival, Shepley Spring Festival and has toured in France, Austria, Switzerland, Italy, Germany, Spain, Portugal and the UK.
In 2018, the group released their first album, "Ellipsis", which received enthusiastic international reviews.
Their music is almost exclusively original, and is described as imaginative, innovative and virtuosic, spanning the bridge between a traditional Folk group and a chamber music quartet.
