Where North meets South....UK based DJ & production duo James Callaghan & Jason Hodges collectively known as Lost On Mars join the Saved Records family this summer with their brand new, 'Perkers' EP. When you combine the energy these two have along with their talent behind the decks expect nothing less than a riot on the dancefloor. On the production side of things, this dynamic duo combine elements of Tech House, Deep Tech, Breakbeat, Rave & Techno with a groove laden sound that showcases big basslines and layers upon layers of percussion. Since their debut on the scene back in 2020 the guys have had some exciting releases on the likes of Sola, dt weapons, Observatory Music and more. A staple in label boss Nic Fanciulli's DJ sets, the 'Perkers' EP wastes no time in getting down to business! The duo's immaculate production shines through with rolling basslines, chunky drums, intoxicating vocals, trippy synths and crisp percussion coming into play throughout, ensuring that no matter where this EP is dropped, the results will be explosive.

Despite the many weird and wonderful submissions they get from Joe Public at Data Transmission – think everything from bottles of homemade hooch to used underwear – Data Transmission freely admit that we were most surprised to receive a cassette accompanied by a polaroid photo of alphabetti spaghetti spelling out ‘I AM RON MEXICO’ in the post at the tail end of last year. Intrigued, DT dusted off their Walkman and gave the tape a listen to find that what was on offer, was, well…surprisingly good!!! They then set about finding him online, only to find that there was not a single mention of him on the internet.

Several weeks passed and having written Ron Mexico off as an elaborate prank concocted by the over active imagination of one of their many friends with far too much time on their hands, Data Transmission didn’t expect to hear from him again. Then the postman delivered a bottle of tequila every day for twelve days. A postcard then followed, with the following message inscribed in Spanish “Now you’re suitably inebriated, perhaps we can talk on Facebook”. One brief chat later, Data Transmission had arranged for Ron to come with us to burgeoning snow festival, Rise, wherein we’d meet the mysterious selector in the flesh for the first time. His rider, predictably contained a variety of mescal, alongside “1 semi-inflated inflatable shark, a frozen banana and a copy of the Karate Kid on VHS”. The time in the French Alps with a masked Ron was fleeting and having ingested what we’d consider a potentially lethal amount of Mexican spirits, Ron Mexico left as much of an enigma as he’d arrived.

6 years on and Ron Mexico became the selector of all music for Data Transmission

After some gentle coaxing and assurances by Hobbs (UK) that he wouldn’t bring any “cameras or cops” ‘Ron’ instructed him to meet him at London’s St. Katharine’s Dock at 10.47 AM precisely with the promise he’d see him. And see him he did. Arriving by jetski, the still masked Mr. Mexico disembarked on to a pontoon wherein they set about creating 'Scolarisé à Domicile'.

Nanø:

Grandit en Thaïlande jusqu’à sa majorité, d’où ce petit côté psychédélique au tout début de son parcours.
Par son retour en France il découvre la scène Techno, d'une part en Club mais dès sa première Rave en Warehouse, enfin il a trouvé l'endroit et l'ambiance qui lui correspond. En amour avec la nuit en Hangar désaffecté ou en Free Party, il se sent enfin libre et développe peu à peu sa passion. Aujourd'hui, il se montre reconnaissant d'avoir fait de multiples rencontres aux talents riches, qui lui ont donné plusieurs opportunités notamment de réaliser pour ses premier Dj sets en situation réel. Par la suite, il sera également booké par le collectif BNLP, ainsi que divers petits clubs Parisien. 
Sa sensibilité et son goût pointu pour des styles allant de la Micro-House Roumaine jusqu’à de la Tekno en passant par une touche Psychédélique ne saisseront de vous transporter de vous immerger à travers ses passions lors d’un instant.
