A close-knit and much loved member of the Saved family, Philip Bader has always fostered a great relationship with the label through his ability to bring out his eccentric personality and party spirit in everything he does. Whether he’s releasing records for us or playing at one of our nights, Philip always brings an unmistakable energy and charisma that gets into the heart of everybody around him. The Berliner now returns to Saved with a three-track EP of peak-time, stonking techno that highlights everything we love about this great producer.

“Feel So Good” flies straight out of the traps with pounding 4/4s, deep swabs of bass and a grinding, driving groove. It’s hard-edged techno with a warehouse / industrial aesthetic, but made accessible and floor-friendly with a wildly addictive groove that runs throughout. “Terrazza’s House” continues in much the same vein, tapping into a dark, intense and energized sound. Snapping rhythms, chopped-up vocal FXs and a rolling bassline give the track a more spun-out feel but the focus still remains on the dancefloor.

“Circus” has a lighter feeling, its tumbling, tribal-like drums and swinging groove giving the track plenty of personality. Old-school vocals add a timeless quality to the tune, just as the fluid bassline adds the momentum. Insatiably groovy with an inherently funky feel, this is addictive stuff from one of our true friends.

I stumbled across this acapella a few months ago and absolutely fell in love with Danielle Ponder's voice. It was so compelling that it felt as if the universe was calling me to create a song with it, so I did. This track is an accumulation of everything I have learned about producing in the past year. I wrote it, mixed it and mastered it all myself (aside from the vocal obviously). It's not perfect but it's honest work and I'm proud of it. I hope you enjoy listening to it as much as I enjoyed making it.

Andrew Meller has been on an incredible run of form recently having smashed the Beatport charts with his remakes of classic tracks such as Faithless' 'Insomnia' and the all-time holy grail of Underworld 'Born Slippy'. His talents do not stop there though, he proves here that he is more than capable of penning some serious underground sounds as he delivers 'Godfathers Dance' and 'Honey'.

'Godfathers Dance' leads the charge here and has been a secret weapon in label boss Nic Fanciulli's sets for time now. This bubbles along really nicely with a warm and funky bass line, some lush, tribal percussion and some great horn additions that really add to that dance floor energy. 'Honey' on the flip is more menacing in it's delivery with a sinister synth pattern and a tough drum workout for those slightly tougher floors.
