Roughing up accessible sounds has been a theme throughout @Marquis-Hawkes' career, and nowhere has it been so clear than on his debut for Houndstooth.  

Four upfront house jams, each demonstrating a different side to Hawkes’ production talent, take in jazz-inflected deepness, disco flavours, quirky cyberpop through to futuristic funk. Think Prince meets Neneh Cherry, held hostage by Gene Hunt’s relentless 909 selections. 

Despite the variety of influences on display, a contiguous thread is maintained, something also reflected in his DJ sets, their all-encompassing yet coherent nature winning over fans far and wide.

DJ support ranging from Eats Everything, James Zabiela, Ben UFO, Jackmaster, Move D and Craig Richards.

The 12" is mastered & cut to 180g vinyl by Matt Colton.

Marquis Hawkes - Can't Find A Reason

Following 2012's Paradise Summer Sampler, this 14-track release will showcase a breadth of new and established talent affiliated with the imprint, from the likes of Gel Abril, Patrick Topping and Russ Yallop to newcomers such as Jamy Wing, Beep Dee and Pete Dorling. Label boss Jamie Jones has also contributed, pitching in with cosmic dance floor cut "People From The Moon." The unmixed compilation will be available on CD, digitally and on two 12-inch samplers.

Sidney Charles & Santé have teamed up again to forge the 'Forever EP’ on Hot Creations with Russ Yallop on remix duty. Those that have witnessed their epic sets playing together will know the vibrant energy they create and this latest offering stands stead to them.

The title track ‘Forever’ uses dynamic claps, an indelible beat and a simple but effective vocal that ties all the elements together. With a playful production technique at its heart, this is a cut made for summertime. Things get a little darker with ‘Mogli’, morphing high-pitched, glitchy sounds alongside a hissing beat. On the flip side, Russ Yallop remixes ‘Forever’ to make the whole track bounce with a heavy and thick bassline.

Hamburg-born Sidney Charles has only been releasing music for four years but has already had a string of successes on labels such as 8bit, Moda Black, AVOTRE and VIVa. Berlin-based Santé is also involved with all areas of music as he DJ’s, produces, and is building on his own record label AVOTRE. Sidney Charles & Santé have previously released on Hot Creations with ‘All Night Long’ on the ‘Hot Summer Jams’ album.

Russ Yallop is a key member of the underground house scene and  is no stranger to Hot Creations; he has previously released ‘Traffic’ and ‘System Crank’ with them, whist also regularly DJing at their worldwide events. He is also an established member of the Crosstown Rebels family after first releasing with them in 2010.

Riot Recordings continues to release some new great tracks and we started September with a new graphic restyling. 
During the year 2014 / 2015 we've released tracks from artists such as Frankyeffe, Mauro Picotto, Felix Krocher, Electric Rescue, Alexander Kowalski, Secret Cinema, Dangeli, Luigi Madonna, Manic Brothers, Nikola Gala, Skober, Gery Otis, Avgusto, The Welderz, Reinier Zonneveld, Umberto Pagliaroli, Ray Kajioka, Lowboys and many others. 

We are at the beginning of September and the temperatures are going to cool off and we continue to heat the air. 
This time debuts on Riot Recordings with Mentality, Hollen with a remix by Raffaele Rizzi. 
Both have a terrifying force in the ear and on the dancefloor.
