My name is Jeremie G. also known as Street Scholar formerly known as (Explicit). I was born in Timmins, ON. Canada and raised in the nation’s capital, Ottawa. At age 12 I realised I had a natural talent for writing poetry after my English teacher gave me a mark of 99% on the first poem I had to write for class. The first CD I ever bought was Wu-Tang 36 Chambers so naturally I started to turn the poetry into rap. Now 32 I have been rapping  for 20 years. From 2011 to 2017 I was part of the rap group Just Poets. I have 6 studio albums under my belt, 3 as Explicit and 3 as Street Scholar with Just Poets. I am currently working on my first solo album as Street Scholar. The biggest show I have played to date is Bluesfest, opening for Future and Nelly. The Biggest name I have worked with is Juno & Grammy award winner Mark Lawson.
