Merkaba Music Records proudly invites you on a consciential and sonic trip from this devoted compilation made by the artist Fada [1]. It was almost two years of working involving thirteen amazing sound alchemists from Brazil, Argentina, Australia, Canada, Germany, Switzerland, Italy and The United States. 

This concept started from the experiences of this Djane who became a mother...and rediscovered herself with the awakening of another divine face, through motherhood, studies and practices of self-knowledge, circles of women, meditations and healing rituals. One of her missions is to rescue the Sacred Feminine Principle through the balance of the Yin and Yang energies, unconditional love, respect for life, planet Earth and the union of beings of all dimensions. 

The theme of these compilation promotes a look at one of the main mythological manifestations that symbolize the Feminine, the archetype of the Mother Goddess. Each guest artist chose and represented a Goddess through their music [2], among too many deities. Although it exists in different forms and manifestations, the Mother Goddesses represent only ONE powerful source of energy generated through their sacred womb, the cosmic starter fire, the principle of universal wisdom [3]. The Great Mother is a Divine Frequency in elevation and expansion, an inspirational awareness that holds everything about healing and creation. This way we honor and celebrate this sacred frequency of inexhaustible source of love that is available for all of us.. After all, we are all Gods!

La Révolution is Netflix France's most ambitious serial project to date, with a narrative built around a clash of cultures and epochs. It is in this spirit that Saycet, who was entrusted with scoring the entirety of the series, composed two types of pieces. On the one hand, powerful and modern electronic pieces with a few winks to the period evoked. On the other, adaptations of classical pieces (Haendel, Bach, Lully and Beethoven). The result is a titanic work that saw Lefeuvre collaborating for the first time with a classical orchestra: an ensemble of 22 musicians – harpsichord, strings, piano, and choir. The result is a new type of soundtrack, oscillating between futuristic synthetic sounds and the evocative power of classical orchestrations.

Series Pitch:
In a revisited version of the French Revolution, the future inventor of the guillotine discovers a disease that drives the nobility to murder commoners.
What if the origins of the French Revolution different from what is taught in school? In 1787, a virus called “blue blood” spread among the aristocracy, causing the nobility to attack and kill the proletariat. It was up to Joseph Guillotin, future inventor of the guillotine, to investigate the epidemic that would have ushered France into a historic confrontation.

AN ORGANIC JOURNEY

At first glance, Saycet's journey may seem peculiar. In reality, it is extremely fluid, as if guided by an external force pushing towards the logical fulfillment of his destiny as a musician, composer and producer. A backward evolution away from our current era, which churns out artists non-stop – a path that has made Pierre Lefeuvre – the brain behind the project for the last 15 years – a figurehead in the French electronic music landscape.

When he released his first album, 2005’s One Day At Home, he built upon a genre that had fallen into relative disinterest: deliberately melancholy, errant electronic music, made somewhat more accessible by pop melodies and inventive, experimental beatmaking. An outsider by nature, he was nonetheless spotted by some influential media outlets, finding an international fan base that would remain faithful to him through the years.

With time, his creative work became more refined, and his influences merged into a highly personal approach that succeeded in linking a certain tradition of cerebral music with an opening to a wider audience. 2010’s Through The Window and 2015’s Mirage continued the project’s evolution towards a more timeless sound that shone through its arrangement work and an asserted versatility. Tours of Asia and collaborations (with Juliette Armanet and Yan Wagner among other) helped Saycet grow further (yet still outside of the mainstream’s radar,) nonetheless finding his niche on the international music map. His approach to live performances cemented his place as an innovator, always in search of new aesthetic grounds, with stage shows that implemented video projection as a source of lighting rather than as mere visual illustration, creating a truly immersive experience in the process. 

Somewhat accidentally, Lefeuvre opened the doors to composing via images – a logical, uncalculated continuation for this production artisan, whose composition work is nourished by visual art and cinematic culture. He created his first score – for the 2019 feature Un Vrai Bonhomme – and thus started making headways into the circle of pop music composers who work with filmmakers. He also composed all of the music for La Révolution, a French series produced by Netflix (to debut in the fall of 2020,) as well as a soundtrack (split with Laurent Garnier) for the Canal + documentary Bastard Lion.

An ideal preamble for a fourth album recorded in his brand-new Parisian studio, which promises to be his most accomplished work. Wavering between melodic piano pieces and powerful club tracks, the album will feature the two complementary energies that inform the unique artist's work.

Going forward, Saycet is also slated to be in residence in 2021 for a one-of-a-kind creative project built around the Château de Versailles’ architectural heritage and instruments.
