Ecstatic dance with Naassan (Shmit16)

I made this set to collaborate with Keerd (as a VJ) for my monthly guest set on Holotropic Happy Hour, the former 2-hour A/V weekly stream I co-produced on Bluetech's Twitch channel for over 2 years.

Bide a Wee is an ode to the chill rooms of the parties I attended in the late 90's. It's a journey through genres and decades, all in the name of "chillaxation". Lots of dub, psychill and IDM in this one.

Cosmic Dance Activation for a Blue Lotus Sound Journey co-creation with dear Mystical Sister Liz who led us into a Dreamy Sound Journey with her Lucid Flower Blends and live music along her beloved Marta.  This set was opened with a prayerformance called "The Birth of the Child" integrated from "Egyptian Book of the Dead" as we learn to dream and become the eternal children of the world.  

It was held in a beautiful space overlooking the hills of the Diamante Valley in Platanillo, Costa Rica.

This journey marks the start of a new chapter of this Triangular Constalation of Magickal Dreamy Soul Fam where anything is possible!

The clock had just struck midnight, and the energy was high! Everyone was joyously celebrating & yelling alongside the cacophony of djembes & shakers pulsating together in unison.

We had all just jumped through the threshold of the new year as a community after a ritual releasing of 2024 and the simultaneous, intentional 'calling in' of our blessings for 2025. An incredible way to celebrate the New Year in Atlanta!

My set began the moment the drums stopped playing and thus it was my intention to maintain the energy we had all created instead of letting it fall away. While this isn't representative of the typical way I'd begin a set of Ecstatic Dance, I found it to be a beautifully liberating ride through the energetics of joy, intensity, playfulness, sensuality, and grace. The set itself became a powerful vessel for the community to transmute their intentions for 2025 onto the dance-floor as we rode the waves together.

Happy New Year Year, family.

May you enjoy this dance - again and again - with your hearts aglow! ❤️

Wubbed in Dub is an ecstatic dance set in homage to the bass heavy sub cultures of dub. This set is structured by the classic ecstatic dance wave progression. We will wub shoulders with the music of psychill, psydub, reggae, reggaeton, dubstep, melodic bass, eclectic intelligent dance music (IDM) and a few heart openers to close it out.

Scott is classically-trained musician & trumpet player of 35+ years, accredited 5Rhythms teacher, devoted Husband & Father, performance artist, as well as Co-Founder, Director, & Resident DJ of Sol Dance in Atlanta.

Musically, Scott boasts a uniquely diverse range that spans across all musical genres, masterfully being able to weave any dance-floor from a point of stillness to climax & all the way back down into the deepest states of bliss + contemplation. Because of this skillset, Scott is known regionally as a go-to sonic-curator for intentional movement-spaces of all kinds as well as truly unique, high-vibrational community experiences.

As an Atlanta based artist & DJ – Scott is known for his collaborative mindset & appearances at regional festivals, as well as local events, parties, rooftops, warehouses, and gatherings all over the city - specifically through his residency with the chic underground music collective Project B. As such, Scott has had the privilege of vibe-setting for a variety of artists including: Acid Pauli, Mihigh, Gescu, Arapu, Viken Arman, Varhat, Janaret, Bobi Stevkovski & Yoko0. Most recently having joined Tambor Party & Stan Zeff on Afro-House adventures around ATL & abroad in Egypt.
