About this edit:
African music has been very inspiring to me for many years, there is something about it that I connect deeply with, I feel it in my spirit. I love to listen to it all the time, I love to learn the guitar rhythms and melodies, it gives me a lot of ideas for my music.
I came across this song recently and fell in love with the vocal and simple yet beautiful guitar melody. I felt that it had a very authentic and honest feeling. I researched the song and found out that N'Gou recorded this album in his house with his wife and daughter singing in the 1970's in Bougouni, Mali. I felt this was a beautiful vibration that I would love to share in my sets so I decided to make this edit. I hope you enjoy! Abou Diarra is a Kamale'N'Goni player from from Mali. "Fascinated by the blues, jazz, afro piti, reggae, groove, rhythms and styles that blend country, sounds, influences, Abou Diarra pushes out the exploration of classic ranges, using his ngoni as a guitar, bass, harp or percussion." Abou Diarra was born in 1975 in the region of Sikasso in southern Mali, home of the music Wassoulou (African blues). As the son of a great hunter-witch doctor, the singer was initiated into mystical knowledge. He began playing music" from an early age, accompanying his mother to the ceremonies and traditional festivals. A N'Goni is made from a gourd, a gazelle skin, bamboo and fishing line. It is a traditional instrument from Mali and is a cross between the harp and guitar. "Koya Blues" is an amazing African/Mali-Blues beauty and is transformed into a Downtempo/Bluesy heaven by Olendo

We have a Sa-Ra sighting in the form of a bonus song from the L∞P . It was going on the "Ventura" album for Anderson .Paak but he had so many good records that he couldn't find a place for it, but I do. (((in my sinister smirk while rubbing my hands together))) A thought came to my mind...What if?...........So, right before taking "Jungle Madness" for mastering I called my brother Taz, who  felt a certain way about not being on the album.  I had this song called "If You Miss You Kiss You" written by Jon Bap, King Karnov and myself with no 2nd verse yet and no vamp.  So, stars aligned and we met up at Om'Mas's studio Whitelines and (((Boom))) Cosmic Dust all over again.
I hope you take this to heart and know that there will be another Sa-Ra.
