My S.O. had a joint concert coming up, between a brass quintet and a sax quintet... I was asked to write something for both of them, so I did a quick arrangement of one of my favorite tunes from one of my favorite chiptune artists.

For barely getting any practice time (some hadn't seen the piece prior to this recording), I'm happy with how quick they picked it up. I just wanted them to have a fun tune to go out with, and it seems like they all enjoyed it :)

Snow Burn (fearofdark live cover)

2 x Commodore Amiga 500 Computers (1987)... 1 x DJ Mixer...  and years worth of tracking 4 channel MOD files in Protracker!!  A computer less than 8Mhz in speed and with less than 1MB of RAM (it has 512k!)  This is the result, played live for the first time at Synchronicity 10 party. Previous to this I was playing live on an MC505 but it died a few weeks before the show... or else I may never have pulled this set together! 


The recording was a combo of a X/Y mic and a live line input.  I didn't realize that it was still recording in this fashion when I was playing hence you've got all the background crowd too - but I guess it adds to the atmos!  Outdoor party the undercover area up front and a tin roof that rattles occasionally :-)

this past April i had the distinct honour and pleasure of performing at the esteemed HYPERWAVE chip show series in London - sharing the stage with such luminaries as cTrix, Sabrepulse, nanobii, RLSN (CYMBA / DOGM), and havocCc!  here i cheekily try out a bunch of stuff i've been working on in the past year.  i'll probably take this liveset back down shortly =P
