Fluffy Clouds

A track about Loki released on 'Thor's day' and lightning forecast for later - asking for trouble!  Guitar heavy contemplation on what it's like to be an outcast with a 'trickster' middle section....

Loki in the Darkness

A Japanese flavoured contemplation of the flow of life represented by a journey down river encountering a waterfall that represents both the potential tranquility that can be had in this World and the turbulence that seems unavoidable.  Inevitably whatever peace we find there is always a storm on the horizon, but perhaps, through all these tribulations all is well.  The piece uses the Japanese insen scale with a Western sensibility - a conflluence of styles that meet at the Waterfall's edge....

Zen Waterfall

DNA nearly ended up being called 'Meditations in D'.  In DADGAD tuning, the tune has slowly evolved over the years into a means of connecting with something outside of myself.  There is a lot packed in there but I had to leave a lot out.  One of my better efforts?  Who knows!  It's for you to decide...

Turned the previous tune (DNA) inside out and created something which I think is much better structured and, well, just better...

Imagine a medieval monk in a remote monastry contemplating the World in his cell.  Outside of his cloistered life 'the wind begins to howl'...

Gothic

Scattered the jigsaw pieces of chords and effects on the floor and with slight tinkering there was my backdrop for a grand melody on top.  I think a powerful instrumental which could be a soundtrack to a film or you can just sit back in your armchair and listen now at home....
