This is Bootie’s annual compilation of our best mashups of the past year, all mega-mixed together so it fits on an old-school CD. It’s basically a 79-minute summary of an entire night at Bootie, from the build-up on the dance floor to the hands-up floor bangers to the drunken off-the-rails sing-alongs to the chilled-out come-down, to the slow jam at the end. This is an original composition performed live on two Novation Launchpads in User 1 mode. The two MIDI controllers are playing original samples in a sequence to create the sound. The right hand controls most of the tuneful sounds whilst the left hand is responsible for keeping in time, playing a custom drum kit and various FX and vocal loops.
