One Destiny

Proto Bytez & Jay Reeve - One Destiny (#SSL070)

Lover of EDM the past 30 years.  I cut my teeth on the southern California rave scene between 1995 and 2005.. 

Not looking to do anything but amuse myself with this little hobby, and have fun with it. Not looking to become the next Armin Van Buren, Ferry Corsten or Tiësto.

My favorite style of EDM: Psytrance or DnB. I have been listening to a lot of Hardstyle lately. 

When I was raving, I loved hard, driving acidic trance, anything that had that TB-303 acid lead with a long sweeping LFO….the kind of tracks Christopher Lawrence  and John “OO” Flemming would play in their early live sets.

Another fave of mine is 2ManyDJ’s/Soulwax and BP & Effcee as I love their style of programming…sort of smashing things together and making some amazing genre-bending mashups.

Favorite live events: small Psytrance community events….although I’d love to go to  BOOM festival or Ozora one day. Maybe I could make it to Shambalah in B.C., it’s much closer.

Kids, Wife and the house keep me grounded and I’m very thankful for everything I have.

Christian has played his sound in the remote tropical valleys of Guatemala and on the dream beach of Tulum. 
The sound ranges from chilling melodic deep house in the afternoon sun to booming techno beats in the early hours of the morning.
