This is a very rough and fast metal track I put together in AmpliTube for the iPad. The entire recording process took about 5 minutes (for selecting drums and playing two guitar parts).

From Go To Woah!

This is a simple riff I created while testing out my new LifeBlood Pick. So far, my fretting fingers are sore, but my picking hand is doing fine :)

This was recorded in AmpliTube on the iPad and uploaded directly from within the app.

Lifeline

This is a very simple riff I wrote a few years back. I've recorded this using my Notcaster (not a real Telecaster) in Drop D tuning as well as a bass guitar. This is my first attempt at playing and recording bass guitar. The levels are most likely all out, but this is what it is.

Black And White

My entry for the Winter Riff Wreckage competition. I'll put full details on my website eventually (www.scarebear.org), but the basics are as follows:

Clean tone achieved using AmpliTube's American Clean Tube (through Reaper). All distortion achieved using my Pro Tone Pedals Skumstortion pedal. I alternate between the bridge and neck pickups on my custom Reedsdale from Moniker Guitars. The Pickups are Seymour Duncan (Distortion on the bridge and Jazz on the neck).

Oh, this is my first attempt at anything remotely close to mastering. I use that term loosely out of respect to talented engineers and producers.

Rise (Wreckage)

This is a sound demo I quickly put together using my recently rewired Notcaster. The beginning (clean component) of the file switches from neck/bridge pickup position to the neck pickup position. When the distorted component kicks in, the sound is created using just the bridge pickup. 

I recorded this track going straight from the Notcaster into my Steinberg UR22 which went straight to my PC instance of AmpliTube (in Reaper). I tidied the tone slightly using a preset from T-RackS on the master track.

Saucy

Sometimes you just need to plug your guitar into your iPad, open AmpliTube, play a new riff for a few minutes and record. Simple.

Munday

This is a quick track I came up with while experimenting with my new ENGL Powerball purchase in the iPad version of AmpliTube. Two tracks layered and panned. Slight tone editing in the Mixer. It's all amp though. No pedals other than a slight amount of noise gate (to cover my sloppy playing).

ENGL Powerball Jam

A very quick 'track' I created to showcase the tones I've produced so far using my new Dialtone Pickups in AmpliTube (iOS). Everything you hear is from the one guitar using the same setting in AmpliTube. The only pickup being used is the bridge pickup with the varied tones/effects coming from the Dialtone Pickup controls.

Four Springs

A very quick demo of AmpKit's recent addition of stereo effects for their Phaser and Flanger pedals (among others). One riff, two versions. The first play-through is using the 'Phaser 72' pedal and the second run-through is using AmpKit's 'The Lone Flanger' pedal.

Stereo AmpKit

First my disclaimer ... I am NOT a lead guitarist. There. I'm glad I got that out there.

I wanted to test a new tone I'd recreated in AmpliTube for iOS while I also tested the new Studio 8-Track recorder. I did some tweaking using the mixer and added the drums using the built-in Loop Drummer. This took me about 30 minutes (to write and record). Easy!
