Gost tokratne oddaje je Gus, priseljenec v Veliko Britanijo iz Brazilije in eden izmed pioneerjev Baile Funk scene v Bristolu. V svoji mesečni oddaji Baile do Futuro predstavlja glasbo latinskoameriških producentov, s poudarkom na svežih brazilskih izdajah, ki jih v posebno zanimivem slogu povezuje z zvoki britanskega podtalja. V središču njegove glasbene identitete je torej Baile Funk, v njegovih selekcijah pa poleg tega ne manjka širokega repertoarja udarnih ritmov bass žanra, rave odvodov in glasbe sveta.

Gusu je bilo mogoče pred zaprtjem radijske postaje redno prisluhniti v etru radia 1020, zdaj pa je rezident radia Raheem ter del kolektivov Baile Funk Culture in Baile Trama v Londonu. V današnji oddaji bomo prisluhnili dobri uri njegove selekcije pred avtorjevim prvim nastopom v Sloveniji v KUD Channel Zero v začetku septembra.

DJ Earl - I Need You

Scattered Waves is a cross-continental platform amplifying East and Southeast Asian voices in electronic music—both across Asia and throughout its global diaspora. Founded in Rotterdam by Vietnamese DJ, producer, and curator Kimmah, the project is based between the Netherlands and Vietnam, building sonic and cultural bridges between communities historically scattered across oceans and borders. 

Rooted in a diasporic narrative, the name Scattered Waves draws from the South China Sea, whose waves scattered Vietnamese communities across the world. These waters symbolize both the rupture of displacement and the persistence of cultural memory. Scattered Waves channels that legacy into a space for exchange and connection through music. 

The platform hosts club nights with all-Asian lineups across Europe and Asia, including a flagship Lunar New Year event in the Netherlands. It also organizes intimate listening sessions focused on ambient, experimental, and leftfield music by Asian artists, runs a record label dedicated to new sounds from East and Southeast Asia, and airs a monthly radio show on Operator Radio in Rotterdam highlighting voices from the Asian diaspora and beyond.
