Having been born and raised in Egypt, Ramy’s style has been majorly influenced by Middle Eastern music. His curiosity also leads him to find inspiration in different genres such as jazz, blues, and classical. Often described as a musical nomad, Ramy took his unique makeup to various countries around Europe and the Middle East, finally landing in Los Angeles.

Being based out of Los Angeles, Ramy quickly found himself amongst the most influential names in House music. He sold-out various high-end venues and is constantly recognized by some of the largest deep-house, downtempo, and techno beats platforms. His work is featured in L'Affaire Musicale, Bloop Radio London, Baci Recordings, Electronic Groove, and many more.

Motip White continued to chart his own course on his return to XYZ with the Long Shadow EP earlier this year. The Cologne-based producer has never settled for the predictable norm, working his way through projects from all corners of the musical landscape on his eclectic journey. With releases on the likes of Innervisions & Correspondant, Motip's productions drip in analog tones & bespoke indie-punk influence.

Continuing the journey of Long Shadow, we welcome two riveting remixers to take the reins on Motip's original material.

Super Flu need no introduction, as this pair of melodic maestro's is one of the most influential acts in our modern scene. Whether as founders of the illustrious Monaberry, or through their releases with the likes of Stil Vor Talent & Disco Halal, its an honor to welcome Super Flu for their XYZ debut. They twist the title track Long Shadow into a low slung bomb, retaining Motip's jaw dropping vocal chops and the main heaving hook. Super Flu add a linear edge, shifting deep into club territory with defiant dance floor moments on offer.

On the flip, we welcome back a dear friend of the label - Montreal's Dexter Crowe. As a founding member of XYZ, we're beyond thrilled to have Crowe in the driver's seat for Motip's instant classic - Tiny House. The Halaken-head soothes a steaming bassline into a sultry and crisp burner. The Aussie punctuates the original's ominous melodies, while mobilizing momentum via metallic synth-work during an emphatic. With the OG mix already a constant tool for the likes of Dixon and  me, Dexter's remix continues to raise the bar for Tiny House.

Clocking in with their debut transmission on Stil vor Talent, Turkish outfit Headwaters & Menachem 26 team up on 'Pixel Desert' - a two-track single bound to take dance floors by storm with its laser-precise engineering of Middle-Eastern folk music tropes, 303-emulated acid basswaves and '80s-indebted synth uplift. True to the trio's trademark blends of immersive club narratives and heavy-duty jack, '8bit Desert' gets the ball rolling on a mischievous note. Pulling out typical Turkish-style harmonics processed through some eerie, spookily funky FX, which they fleshed out with a finely integrated layering of cinematic strings and obsessive lysergic swashes, the track packs some seriously magnetic punch. In what could be the soundtrack to an intense club scene in a Miami-based 90s thriller starring Michael Douglas or basically any Michael Mann flick from the era, 'A Touch of Love' oozes pure synth-heavy sensuality and kosmische-laced contemplation. Nostalgia-soaked with its stretched-out desert rock riffs and dreamy oriental accents, it progressively stacks up energy to better beam it back across the room, leaving no stone unturned in its fevered quest to get everyone wading knee-deep in their own sweat. Wild at heart.
