At some point in every producer's life, the urge to write an acid tune becomes irresistible, and for Grimey Electro pioneer Sir Hiss, that point is apparently now. Claps as sharp as Blade's blade in the film 'Blade', the kind of tension that can only be described as being 'just like the rave scene in Blade', and of course some iconic Grime sampling shenanigans all conspire to create an unholy banger of such blood-sucking power as to compel Wesley Snipes to pay his tax bill. Bad.

Meanwhile, M300 Tool showcases the further reaches of Hissian hardware exploration, taking a vintage TC Electronic unit and some hardware analogue drums for a spin down Flanger Lane, which is, of course, a minimal yet tuff thoroughfare leading to either Banger Estate or MC Village (MC not provided).

Finally, on EP closer 'Synchronisation', the NMM label boss, fresh off duppying Outlook for the Pineapple Records takeover, indulges the current temptation to 'get a bit proggy' with it, lacing synth arpeggios, bouncing toms and spacious bass tones together to answer the questions no one has yet dared to ask, namely 'what if Sasha & Digweed were from Bow E3?' and 'what if Northern Exposure wasn't really boring?' - The NMM / Bedrock beef starts here...

Curating our mix this week is Paris-born Big Dope P, currently one of Europe’s most exciting DJs and producers, known for his signature blend of electro funk, bass/club, ghetto house and rap. He has previously shared the decks with some of the world’s biggest names in dance and rap music, including Basement Jaxx, Kaytranada, Pusha T, Maya Jane Coles, Lil Wayne, and Todd Edwards, just to name a few. 

At the age of 16, Big Dope P co-founded Moveltraxx imprint, one of the most influential labels in dance music, promoting footwork, ghetto house and jersey club since 2007. The label features releases from major electronic mavericks like Paul Johnson and DJ Tameil. Big Dope P’s discography features releases on global labels such as Fool’s Gold, Ed Banger, LuckyMe, Nervous, Ninja Tune, OWSLA and Local Action.

For Select 351, Big Dope P brings us a bass-driven mix of footwork, Chicago ghetto house, ‘80 funk and classic hip-hop tunes from across the UK and US, featuring his original productions such as ‘On Da Flo’.

Gud Griff (Koicha Collective) unleashes Like, a high energy, bass driven
140-tune influenced by the UK underground. After road-testing the track everywhere from Sweden to Osaka, the long awaited release is finally here. Featuring the half-Irish, half-Swedish rapper KIDSDOSHROOMS, Like is a peak-hour weapon stacked with dark basslines and hard-hitting drums, drawing inspiration from acts like Skrillex and Hamdi.

Straight out of northern Sweden, Gud Griff is not only carving his lane as a producer and Dj but also as one third of the boundary-pushing Koicha Collective. Known for his tasteful song selection and distinctive productions, he is quickly becoming a name to look out for in today's fast-evolving dance music scene.
