It carries a restraint other "lolicore" albums didn't have and it's clever in its sampling. Even though it was an early effort it manages to capture some magic and wonder that future maedasalt releases would continue to explore, and we're proud to rehabilitate it to dazzle others more.

This remix started, as all sensible projects do, with me spending months crawling around second-hand music shops across the UK, hunting for a 303 I could actually afford (not very much) and that hadn’t been too loved.

The brief was simple:
✔️ enough damaged diodes to sizzle
❌ not so fried it sounds like a sausage (weird comparison, but you know)

Somewhere between a dusty flight case, a suspicious power supply and a shop owner saying “yeah mate, it used to work”, this remix took shape.

The hypnotic pull of Zoetrope gets dragged into peak-time territory here — giant chunky breaks, big stabs, heavy drops and unapologetic acid squelch. It’s deep, it’s driving, and it absolutely does not behave itself.

This one’s been getting a proper rinse on my Cutters Choice Radio show over the last few weeks, and I’ve been itching to finally let it loose.
