JOLLY x EGREGORE - Ancestors Warning

Following up his debut “Sycomore” Ep signed in 2015 on Arboretum with a remix of Samuel Kerridge, the Italian born, Berlin based electronic music producer Mogano returns on Voidance with his new work “Terrarium”.

By revisiting the inital approach of re-processing traditional eastern instruments such as the Egyptian Rebab into cinematic landscapes and sharp gritty textures, this work also consistently moves towards
more Industrial, Techno, IDM and Drum&Bass territories.

This Mediterranean cultural bridging got even more refined by the contribution of the Maltese producer Llimbs which reveals a vibrant, ritualistic reinterpretation of the opening track “Terrarium”.

Omni – meaning all-encompassing – is an apt title for celebrating over a decade of existence of Blue Hour Music. Platforming quality productions by artists worldwide, Blue Hour Music has forged a name of its own in a landscape that evolves with mercurial speed. 

Like Blue Hour's sound as an artist, it's impossible to classify the label's discography into a single category or genre. The two-part Omni compilations ebb and flow between hazy atmospheres and tougher, live-wire textures, colluding into a multi-coloured trip that encapsulates the lush world of Blue Hour Music.

Mlehst is an English composer and noise musician, who creates bizarre soundscapes which are both surreal and powerfully emotive. Mlehst was started in 1991 and continues to the present working between genres. Mixing electronics, field recordings and acoustic sound heavily influenced by the original Musique concrete artists and modern classical composers. Currently, Mlehst is working in the realm of deconstructing house and dance music to form his unusual compositions.
Main influences: Christian Zanesi, Bernard Parmeginani, Luc Ferrari, Pierre Henry, Hafler trio, Nurse with Wound, Roger Doyle, John Wall and more.

 On this episode of F.B.I. Pathology Report we explore the case of Ruth Ellis, the last woman to be hanged in Britain. 

 A volatile relationship that led to a miscarriage after he punched her in the stomach during an argument and then the infamous event of the 10th of April, 1955.
On a "fateful' Easter Sunday,  Ruth Ellis, then known as a nightclub hostess, fatally shot David Blakely outside Magdala pub in Hampstead, north London.

 Enormous evidence against Ellis was held, though the public and press campaigned for granting an amnesty to her, due to her good reputation as a mother. 
Despite the massive efforts, she eventually got sentenced to death by hanging.
On July 13, the hangman Albert Pierrepoint and his assistant entered her cell and took her to the adjacent execution room where she was hanged. Remains of executed women at Holloway were exhumed for reburial elsewhere. Particularly, her remains were reburied in the churchyard of St. Mary's Church in Amersham, Buckinghamshire, 4.8 kilometers from where Blakely was buried.

 The evocative intense of attention Ruth's case caused on press and public, (as) a widespread controversy at the time, reached to the point to be discussed by the Cabinet. 
She was the last woman ever to be executed in Britain. An infamous event which from one's perspective, ironically as well as allegorically, so to say, could bear a resemblance to the apocryphal myth of Judith and Holofernes.

In Breath Observation (for voice and hand-blown glass object), Chantal Michelle captures the acoustic resonances of hollow glass sculptures and merges them with the human voice. The work is part of a series of compositions using the sculptures, which were designed and fabricated by the artist, as instruments in relationship with various wind instruments. Exploring themes of fragility, permeability, and formlessness, the work invites the listener into an intimate space where boundaries between inside and outside blur
