“Memoria” is an album about my memories, my hometown, the scent and flavours of my childhood, things Iʼve read, movies Iʼve watched at the cinema and my love for music. Itʼs about going back home, re-establishing a link with the past and recalling cheerful and happy memories.
“Memoria” refers specifically to the regions of Minais Gerais and the Brazilian northeast, its hot climate, the religiousness of the people and its faith in miracles, calling to mind images of mysterious and surreal popular tales, where time flows slowly in an intimate dimension.

Since its inception in 2010, much of Uncanny Valley's output has found its way into our proverbial (and literal) record bags here at Flux. As big fans of both Jacob Korn and Cuthead, we watched the label grow, accommodating releases from the likes of Massimilano Pagliara and Joel Alter. In its relatively short lifetime, Uncanny Valley has become an extremely well regarded label in European house music.

It's a privilege to be hosting an exclusive from the Dresden-based label, but for now we'll leave you with a quote from the press release that summarises the release far more accurately than we ever could...

1) Tell us a bit about yourself and your record collection. 
I started buying records when I moved to Athens, one decade ago. Now, I moved back to Crete an Island at the south of Greece. The living is nice but the record stores apart the traditional ones are hard to find here. Thus, most of my collectable records are combined with my trips. I am also a DJ/producer, so the records I choose are chosen because I know that I can make use of them in my production or on stage. 

2) 45/7 is all about celebrating the 7". Can you tell us a bit about what you love about the format.
Main reason I love the 45s is that I get a slight better quality at the sound and the groove of the record. Moreover, as a dj, I am really into their portability , easy peasy in my travel record bag.

3) One hour of vinyl goodness... can you talk us through your selection for your 45/7 mix?
The selection for the 45/7 mix I did is coming from vinyls I collected from a trip to puerto rico. I searched in numerous stores for them and for me this mixtape is giving the picture of their music, culture, daily life and recalls memories from my experience there.

Timewarp inc - Dub My Funky Groove.

Timewarp became known after his track FunkE was included in the compilation Black Coffee chapter 6 where his music joined forces with the greater representatives of the scene like Thievery Corporation and Tosca.

Success continued with the 1st place his second personal LP “Time in waves” held in the Deutsche chill out charts.

He has participated in the largest festivals in Europe like Spring Three in Graz, Austria where he performed live and a Dj set with other artists like Quantic Soul Orchestra, Funky lowlives, Gilles Paterson, etc.

He also performed an excellent live set in Samothraki Dance Festival and many others. In Greece he got popular from the music he has composed for various TV commercial spots like Stolichnaya vodka, VW Polo, Seat Ibiza and more.

Counting 2 personal LP and over than 15 participations in worldwide compilations, his new personal LP “Dub my funky groove” is being released in early October worldwide by Timewarp music. A double cd album with participation of other musicians that will truly impress many!!
