“Disco Funk Edits Vol 1” is our third edit series with the label, this time we wanted to pay tribute to the roots of electronic dance music.
We asked our favorite artists JONAHLO, JOINT4NINE, RUSH CITY and NICO FATCAT to select carefully one of their most influential Disco-Funk tracks of all time and make an edit more suitable for the dance floor.
The release starts with “Lies” (1980) by New York group GQ; In this edit we can notice how Jonahlo turns the original track into a more House beat version by changing the structure and making an special sampling rework finale as he always does.
