SIKOTI is an emerging producer/DJ from Glasgow that is fresh off the back of a massive year in 2022. A number of extremely popular releases saw SIKOTI's tracks smashing festivals across the globe, firmly establishing himself as a hot prospect in the scene. His releases span international labels such as MOTZ, Janaham, TMOR and Insane Industry, and consist of a variety of original tracks and hard techno edits. A particular highlight of the latter being the edit of Bob Sinclair’s classic World Goes On. Also a co-founder and resident DJ at Dark Room Sessions, his crew have overseen bookings such as Vendex and Pawlowski as well as launching their one-year anniversary album back in December. SIKOTI shows no sign of slowing down this year with a number of gigs on the calendar and many more releases to follow, definitely one to watch.

Mix number 10 comes from Glasgow-based disc-jockey, Koran.  After pestering him for a good number of months we finally have him onboard the Hilltown Disco mix series with one of the rowdiest mixes to date.

Mainly recognised for his sets at a certain infamous Glasgow after-party, Koran has been killing it in the Glasgow scene for a number of years with his technical abilities and his wide selection of raw-techno which has been reflected in this mix.

IDLESTATES008 - Koran

We’re back after a brief festive hiatus which just prior to seen us smash 10k plays so we thought we’d start 2020 all guns blazing to make up for 4 weeks off with Koran, the last remaining member of local dons/our good mates - Schematic GLA. Koran first came to our attention at the infamous Soma Afters (GBNF) and has since kicked on proving himself to be one of the most talented djs and producers in the city with two of tracks appearing on local label Reality Club last year. One of which ‘Wah’ has been heard on VTSS’ podcast for Parisian-based series and agency Possession as well deservedly making its way into her recent sets.

This one sees Koran take us down a path filled with breakbeats, 4x4 and some classics in there for good measure. We’d like to say thanks to him for sending this over to us and as always we hope you enjoy it as much as we do.
