As one part of obscene Felix is constantly working on the idea of a high quality, musically uncommercial event-series. The main idea behind the concept is straight and real techno, far away from commercial trends. This vision is also embodied in his sets: direct techno, driven by vast and hypnotizing tools that not only touch your body but also your mind.

Satyr & Felix Kropf are both co-founders and residents of different event series - Satyr‘s "Don't Skip Leg Day" is located in Hamburg while Felix Kropf‘s "obscene" takes place in Kassel. The two friends quickly discovered their converging approach to their sound: No-nonsense techno taking a focus on faster and hypnotic driven, yet pounding tracks with oldschool elements - while keeping groove as the main element. The mix at hand is a take on the dense soundscapes and heavy rhythms they both developed their individual sound from.

We're back with another episode of ritual practices this time featuring @be-obscene co-founder and resident @JJVVNN from Kassel. Establishing contemporary techno sound with numerous events in and around Kassel since 2014 he and some friends founded 'obscene', a forward-thinking techno event and podcast series back in 2019 curated with a clear vision of sound, design, and aesthetics. As part of a new generation of local techno artists representing the idea of modern, contemporary techno he's heavily inspired by the likes of Oscar Mulero, Exium, Etapp Kyle, Efdemin, Edit Select & Donato Dozzy. Striving for variability, JVN finds his taste in a broad spectrum of techno ranging from minimalistic groove driven material to a more hypnotizing approach as well as raw and pounding tool-ish techno.
His favorite slot is the opening, which is also the most important in his eyes because it offers the possibility to guide the audience from the beginning to the peak of the evening setting their minds for everything following. Convince yourselves and turn your speakers all the way up for JVN's banging trip into the night.

JVN, born and living in Kassel, belongs to a new generation of local techno
artists representing the idea of modern, contemporary techno, in an area
which is still deeply attached to the Stammheim era. Besides running several
event formats successfully over the last years, his latest outcome is an event
and podcast series called obscene, which features advanced techno with a
clear vision of sound and design.
Striving for variability, JVN finds his taste in a broad spectrum of techno
ranging from minimalistic groove driven material to a more hypnotizing
approach as well as raw and pounding loop-techno.

DJ & producer / VJ artist with trance and dark techno influences, Cassie Raptor plunges the dancefloor in a dark and burning atmospheres. Powerful kicks, organic textures, screaming voices, her sets release a cathartic energy, a visceral and determined sound that escapes the evidence. An ecstatic chase between distressing and luminous atmospheres where broken rhythms, elements of industrial noise and acid converge in a liberating and enjoyable clubbing, sentimental and raw.

Cassie will also be part of the new upcoming agency launched by the Possession crew later this year.



Cassie’s words about the mix:
Intense and fast race - trance, metal and animal vibes with fewer voices than usual for a more introspective set. Matching my current emotions from this sick sad world, this set is like a long hard road with pitfalls and anxiety-provoking moments.
But still, hope.
A way to express, through music, my anger, fears and demons regards to the crisis and move forward, hope it hits you right in the stomach.
