The best way to enjoy good tequila is not as a shot, but sipped with Sangrita - a bright, tart, spicy fruit drink - on the side. London-based house & techno producer and DJ, Henri Bergmann, introduced us into the art of Tequila drinking!

Recently signed to Watergate’s DJ roster, Henri’s productions have been on fire. Her “Nexus” EP was featured on the cover of Spotify’s Electronic Rising playlist and she was chosen by Deezer to be a part of their DJ mix series, alongside house legend Kerri Chandler, Will Saul & Kompakt’s Michael Mayer. 

In 2020, Henri released music on Watergate Records, Agoria’s Sapiens, Stil Vor Talent, Booka Shade’s Blaufield, as well as a release on collaborator Julian Wassermann’s VISHN. She will release her first single of 2021, Protection, on her own label Automatik at the end of June, followed by a release on Stil Vor Talent later this summer. Over lockdown she has been taking the opportunity to work on her debut album which will be released at the end of the year.

She has received DJ support for her productions from the likes of Radio 1 & Ibiza Global Radio, and ongoing club rotation from Laurent Garnier, John Digweed, Ilario Alicante, Nick Warren, Rodriguez Jr., DJ T, Vaal and Nicolas Masseyeff, as well as recent press coverage from Mixmag, Dancefloor Romancer, Progressive Astronaut, Data Transmission, Music is 4 Lovers & more.

With standout gigs at Glastonbury, Watergate, Matte Black, Four Quarters & Black Heart, Henri was on a roll until Covid-19 decimated the live music industry. This strange last year has nonetheless been memorable! In addition to a 3D visual livestream for TOGETHER FOR BEIRUT, a fundraising benefit in partnership with Beatport ReConnect; a radio takeover on Couleur 3, and a Stil Vor Talent podcast, Henri has also had a lockdown baby. 

This summer, Henri will guest DJ Rüfüs du Sol’s Rose Avenue radio show (previous guests have been Adam Port, Monolink, WhoMadeWho and Colyn); Noisily Festival; Greece; and the UK with Booka Shade and Eli & Fur later in the year.

Very happy to present a next discovery from the country we call home, Switzerland: originally hailing from an indie/folk-pop background, the singer and songwriter Natascha Polké has found her destiny in powerful melodic techno and mixed a sensationally strong Whiskey Sour for us!

Always drawn to dark ambient vibes, Natascha has ultimately found her footing in techno. Marrying the two influences Natascha Polké manages to interweave what might appear like an unusual match into sublime melancholic productions transcending stylistic boundaries. Driving beats and haunting pads are flattered by her intimate vocals, telling stories of blurring lines between reality and illusion, diving deep into unknown corners of the human mind.
 
After living in London for several years and holding a residency at the Roundhouse (LDN), Natascha Polké now resides in Switzlerand and regularly DJs at Zurich’s Hive, as well as frequently playing events such as Klangheimlich and Motion Beach Festival.

Her first single ‘Siren’ was a collabation with Definition:music and was also the beginning of her merge with his label Defintion:Music. Definition:Music, which has been making waves in the electronic scene since 2011 and launched the career of none other than the Ukrainian electro- duo ARTBAT. Whilst producing all tracks herself she mixed her 2021 EP in a collaboration with no other than Jan Blomqvist’s team in Berlin.

It’s easy to lose yourself in Natascha Polké’s music, get carried away by melancholic waves with an edge of longing, underpinned by pulsing bass lines and beats you can’t help but nod along to.

We're extremely happy to welcome our next guest, a DJ and producer from Soweto, a township located South-West of Johannesburg, South Africa. His favorite drink is a sparkling water, a refreshing and absolutely fantastic alternative to a cocktail. While is remix of Stimming's Pidgeons is on repeat since weeks in the Schirmchendrink headquarters, we're definitely considering his exclusive mix on this channel a new favorite of ours as well. Please join us in welcoming the one and only Fka Mash with his sexy though melancholic and 100% deep Sparkling Water!

It was in 2016, when Fka Mash layed his footprint in his hometown, across South Africa and slowly into the world - both as a DJ and Producer. After his first release with Stay True Sounds, owned by South Africa's Kid Fonque, he suddenly appeared on playlists from notable names in the industry such as Black Coffee, Jimpster, Themba or Sebastien Léger to name a few.

The previous two years saw Fka Mash continue to collaborate with renowned global artists such as Bongeziwe Mabandla, Pablo Bolivar, Nico de Andrea, Lemon & Herb and Stimming, the latter for this outstanding remix mentioned above.

Fka Mash has founded his record label called September Bloom Records just months ago, which is the new outlet for sharing his music with the world.

Definitely a talent to watch closely and not an insider tip anymore. Glad to have you on our show!

Kora is the musical project of Mikael B Robillard, a planet Earth citizen with his family tree rooted in Québec, Canada. From childhood tunes with Grandma to co-founding the Saisons Musique label & collective, Mikael's journey is a testament to music's power to unite. For our first fall cocktail we’re extremely happy to welcome Cairo-based artist Fulltone to our family. He’s been on the rise (and on the Schirmchendrink radar) in the past couple of years. He has become a regular on labels such as Seven Villas or Dream Culture.  

Our most recent favorite productions are Outskirts, an original release on Wildfang Music, as well as the sensational remix of Cecilia on PHCK’s Natu EP on Nie Wieder Schlafen (as heard first on Schirmchendrink, of course!).  

Fulltone definitely has build a vast discography. With his astonishing effort, he has delighted the scene over night and continues to do that, with this blissful Back in Fashion, exclusively here on Schirmchendrink.

Good Morning Ladies and Gentlemen! 

Welcome onboard this flight with Schirmchendrink! Today, Elif’s music will take us on a synthesized and organic ride to the sky. Her cocktail “Above the Clouds” let’s us dream of wonderful views of fluffy clouds hovering around beautiful mountain peaks or a bustling metropolis’ skyscrapers.  

Having her roots in the city of Istanbul, as a nomad and free soul, Elif’s wings definitely have brought her above the sky as she’s a regular selector at top venues both locally and internationally with her unique blend.

She reveals a musical taste that is unafraid to go in the dark territories as much as upbeat anthems as she’s unafraid to experiment with modern sounds, while also displaying an appreciation for more conventional instrumentation. Her style is characterized by raw percussion that creates relentless groove, combined with melody carried by both electronic and acoustic instruments to achieve an atmosphere which highlights her roots in the ancient city of Istanbul in a contemporary fashion.

Energy levels range from relaxed to raging, the way in which Elif moves between the two demonstrating her understanding of the necessity of diversity throughout a set, as well as her technical skill in creating mixes that progress in an exceptionally smooth and gradual way. 

As a strong female figure in the conservative society she grew up in, she even has a TEDx talk under her belt amongst other numerous online contents for inspiring her generation. 

But this is just the beginning. She’s keen to inspire and touch more and for that she’s spending more time in her studio and carefully connecting to her inner self to reveal emotions to express with music. We can anticipate more stories told in depth as she’s already in progress of cooking her own tunes to share with the world very soon.

We’re honored having another outstanding artist behind the Schirmchendrink bar counter today: Roy Rosenfeld is mixing his Vodka Soda with a lot of punch: it comes with fresh Lime, sparkling melodies and that mellow but always driving “Roy Rosenfeld groove”:  

Roy is currently residing in Tel-Aviv, the capital of Israeli electronic music, but born and raised in the magical streets of Jerusalem.

A key milestone in his career was a beautiful track name Epika, a co-production together with Guy Mantzur – and it turned out to be one of 2015 biggest anthems.  The success of his signature sound brought him not only on the Schirmchendrink radars, no, but on the release schedule of the crème de la crème of records labels: Guy J’s Lost & Found, Marc Romboy’s Systematic Records, Michael Mayer’s KOPAKT as well as the mighty All Day I Dream – just to name a few. 

In 2019 his career got another epic boost: Apart from returning to All Day I Dream with his Rumbala EP, Roy released what is considered to be one of the greatest anthems of last year, ‘The Biggest Heart’, published on TRYBESof. In addition Roy has released another EP, this time on Sébastien Léger’s new label “Lost Miracle” that includes the A-side ‘Hypnosa De La Rosa’. The B-side ‘Creme’, is his first ever collaboration track with the French maestro. 

2020 seems to continue in the same pace: his upcoming release on Guy Gerber’s Rumors label is opening up with a track that has enormous anthem potential: a hypnotic house track called „no drama“  - but with a lot of drama actually: loose grooves, an exotic and tropical feel, underlined by Roy’s signature bubbly drums. Wow – what a bomb release – we look forward dancing to this throughout the season!

Bonjour à tout le monde ! After all these cocktails we thought it might be a good thing to take a break and to treat ourselves with a good glass of water. Smooth, deep and incredibly fresh. Todays serving has an incredible flow and comes from no one less than from Northern Germany’s Bonjour Ben!

Originally a child of reggae, Bonjour Ben started DJing in his early twenties. With the help of the tight DJ community, he has established his organic sound has become a staple of the organic and intercultural house scene, including appearances in Berlin (Watergate, About Blank, Sisyphos, katerblau), Amsterdam, Zürich, London, Sao Paulo, NYC, Cape Town and more...

Ben aproach is hypnotic, he embarks us gently but surely in his dreamy universe. He is very creative and delicate. His sets feels like an endless flow, two hours becomes six and feels like ten minutes. We forget about time and the outside world, we are drown into the present moment and don’t want to leave this world filled with softness.
