We're kicking-off Christmas week with a fresh and festive Prosecco on Ice, brought to you by Carla Durisch, a selector from Zurich with an incredible flair to create high energy dancefloor vibes.

Carla, who grew up in Zurich and got influenced by the big electronic scene in the biggest Swiss city, first started her DJ career spinning hip hop and urban tunes. 

The transition back to electronic music started while she lived in Berlin. Her sets became more and more house based and she also switched her DJ name to Carla Durisch, her real name. One could say as a step towards a real recognition, self-love and acceptance for the individual and personaI have become.  

Meanwhile Carla has established herself well in the Swiss clubbing scene and is part of impressive lineups at famous venues like Basel's Nordstern or Hive in Zurich.

"Thank you so much for the invitation to be part of One Night Only event. It was an honor and a pleasure to contribute to such a memorable evening. I must admit, I felt a bit of pressure on warm up duties, but it pushed me to craft a set that I hope resonated with the audience. Drawing inspiration from the unique soundscape of the night, I focused on creating an atmosphere with fat basslines and darker tones, all while keeping the essential tambors that are always present in my sets. My goal was to maintain a sense of movement and ensure everyone could still feel the rhythm, setting the stage for the melodic techno journey that Dom so masterfully led. DJ Balaton continues to carve out his part in the puzzle with a fresh 4-tracker on LQL <3. With a nostalgic nod to Frankfurt, the producer shows that it doesn’t take much, just the right touch, to install a badass groove. Spacious arrangements and carefully placed synths turn the EP into an echo of a different time in the club.

The title track “Back To The Mood” orbits around that secret open-air energy - one of those full-circle cuts for the crew. You are missing the water, baby is all there is to say about “Flow Key”, rolling away at 127, disguised but with energy. “Reso 02” is the track we all wanted to finish but never did, grooving along with restrained intensity, shaping the EP into something personal and unique. Closing off, “Push Yourself” is Geoff White meets Herbert in a club-ready outfit.

Finally the month of July is here :)
It smells like holidays.
This month we wanted to highlight an international artist recognized for his productions and for his remixes.
We love to play his songs which bring a lot of warmth to our stories. 
This is Jose Solano.

Jose Solano is a musician, composer and producer born in San Jose, Costa Rica in 1980.

Solano’s love of music began when he was sixteen, where he tried new and different melodies with his first keyboards. He studied piano at the Yamaha Music School with Professor Jesus Castro, and studied singing with the famous Soprano Amelia Barquero.

This inspired the later development of a successful career in which he explores with different tones and textures of tribal and electronic sounds. He now works as a keyboard player with the renowned soloist Esteban Calderón while making his own music on the as well. He has shared the stage with important national and foreign artists such as the Spanish Russian Red, the Colombian Fonseca, and the Mexicans Jessy and Joy.

His own music draws influence from various artists, including Jean Michael Jarre , Depeche Mode and many more. This highlights his great taste for the electronic, and thanks to his multiple influences he manages to develop his original style with his own individual sound.

His most popular tracks include ‘Tambura’, ‘Marrakech’ and ‘Renaissance’ which all combine deep house electronic textures and beats to create an ambient and suspenseful sound which has come to be his iconic and unique musical testament.

Jose Solano’s music career is active and thriving. His discography already boasts 72 tracks and is set to increase even more. He has recently released a track called ‘Birds’ on SoundCloud and is currently working on an up and coming EP to be released in the coming months.

This experience and education all lead up to his most recent achievement in 2018, where he was nominated for an ACAM award for best electronic music producer in Costa Rica.

Jose Solano’s career has evolved with not only his own musical education and experiences, but his own natural musical talents.
