For September, we take a departure away from June+August's emo/sensitive side of house music and move towards a spacier, darker, and more driving sound. It's a sound that's been making its way into my gigs a bit more these last couple months, so it's nice to pull them into a mix.

Coming up on Schirmchendrink is a healthy drink that has already been consumed for thousands of years: Kombucha! And it also happens to be a favorite drink of our next guest on the show, GIAX.

Other than he does vinyl sets and plays few shows only, nothing is known about the selector based in Todos Santos, a small surf town in Mexico's Baja Peninsula. GIAX posted some mixes on SoundCloud and they made their way to the Schirmchendrink headquarters, where they are played on a regular base. His style is more minimalistic than our usual lineup, works well for dancing as well as for listening at home. 

GIAX' exclusive mix for Schirmchendrink is a journey with a variety of genres of what he likes to play and listen. And we'd like to order a second round, please!!

It was an honour to be booked to support the mighty Jan Blomqvist and play in-front of his awesome crowd. Upon arrival the dancefloor of the iconic Electric Ballroom in the heart of Camden Town was packed with at least 800+ heads raring to go after a fantastic warm up set from fellow Bloop London Radio resident Redfreya.

Terr (@terr_music) is the exciting musical project of Daniela Caldellas, the Berlin-based DJ/producer and label owner, who grew up in Brazil’s Belo Horizonte.

After spending her earlier years playing guitar in several punk bands, she decided to learn the basics of computer music to be able to express more complex ideas. She became a studio addict, investing in analog synths and effects to work on her sonic experiments - from which Terr was born.

As of late I've been observing recurring themes of devotion in my life and in those of people around me. Devotion to the artform, devotion to our friends, family, and lovers, devotion to what we want to achieve. Devotionals, in the religious sense, are a way for humans to get closer to God. While personally I'm not one to preach any religious dogma, I do believe there is a spiritual message is house music that we can all understand, and I tried to communicate that in this mix. Hopefully it came through, and hope you enjoy...
