Sydney and Los Angeles based Classical Pianist/Composer Van-Anh Nguyen and DJ/Drummer/Producer Mark Olsen blend their two worlds together to form a unique dreamy mix of acoustic and electro sounds. Ranging from ambient soundscapes to Melodic House, Double Touch brings their live musicianship deep into their creations.

Double Touch are official All Day I Dream artists with multiple releases and performances at the All Day I Dream events around the world. Their shows are a unique blend of a traditional DJ set and live performances, adding in live keys and drums, improvising new directions into their music during their live sets. The synergy and connection between the two are contagious from the stage.

After Lee Burridge played 3 Double Touch songs in his MIXLAB NYC set, Double Touch emerged onto the scene in 2019 with their debut EP on All Day I Dream – “Adagio” which took out the No.1 releases spot on Beatport (Electronica/Downtempo) as well as appeared in the Top 100’s in other genres. Since then, they have released everything from downtempo music on Buddha Bar, through to their club-style on TrybesOf. Their Chorophobia EP (TrybesOf) hit Top 5 (Melodic House/Techno) on Beatport. Their debut single “Broken Paradise was also featured on a Ministry of Sound compilation CD.

Double Touch has performed their DJ set with live instrumentation at events all around the globe, including Return to Rio Festival 2019 (Australia), Cercle (Omnia Indonesia), Golden Gate Park (San Francisco, USA), Cloud 9 (Fiji), Glow Rooftop (Vietnam) and Omnia Bali (Indonesia)

Während ich warte fällt mir auf, dass sich ansonsten niemand vor dem Raum oder im Flur befindet. Links und rechts von mir ist es menschenleer. Diese Einsamkeit bedrückt mich. Doch bevor ich mir weitere Gedanken machen kann, ertönt eine Stimme. Genau wie bei der Musik, kann ich nicht lokalisieren woher sie kommt. Aber irgendwie kommt mir der Klang der Stimme bekannt vor. Mir wird mitgeteilt, dass ich den Raum jetzt betreten kann: „Bitte folgen Sie der roten Linie bis zu ihrem zugewiesenen Platz.“ Direkt im Anschluss erscheint auf dem Boden eine leuchtende Linie, die mich an die hintere linke Ecke des Raumes führt. Auf dem Weg dorthin kann ich nur wenig von den anderen Mitmenschen im Raum erkennen. Jeder scheint in einer einzelnen kleinen Kabine zu stehen, welche so angeordnet sind, dass jeder einen freien Blick nach vorn hat. Kurz bevor ich meine Kabine betrete, sehe ich mich nochmal um und kann keine Tür mehr entdecken. Sie scheint wie vom Erdboden verschluckt zu sein. Stattdessen ist dort nur noch eine glatte Fläche. Als ich mich umdrehe, ist auf der Leinwand vor mir schon der Schriftzug ComRa zu sehen. Kurz darauf verschwindet der Schriftzug und das Licht geht aus. Für einen kurzen Augenblick herrscht völlige Finsternis. Plötzlich erkenne ich etwas Grünes im Augenwinkel. Etwas fliegt über unsere Köpfe durch den Raum. Es vermischt sich bald mit anderen Farben und es herrscht ein buntes Gewimmel im ganzen Raum. Bei genauer Betrachtung kann man einzelne Buchstaben ausmachen. Sie verlieren beim Wirbeln an Geschwindigkeit und bewegen sich kurz darauf auf die Leinwand zu. Dort nehmen sie wie von Geisterhand geleitet ihre Position ein und ergeben die Wörter „be the rave“. 
Als das Licht wieder angeht, steht Lighter plötzlich vor uns. „Yo ich hoffe euch hat unsere kleine Demonstration unserer futuristischen Lichttechnik gefallen.“ Ich wusste doch, ich kannte die Stimme irgendwoher!

Unser heutiger Gast dürfte euch auch bekannt sein. Nachdem er mehrere „free downloads“ bei uns rausgebracht hat, ist er auch verantwortlich für das zweite Release auf deep stories records. And we're enormously delighted to have it prepared by a versatile up-and-coming artist out of LA, Jackson Englund. Jackson Englund is a singer, songwriter, producer and DJ born in New York City and raised In LA. Jackson released on Desert Hearts, Madtech, Dilate, Percomaniacs and Glittercowboy. It was these sexy deep house ballads together with Tâches that brought Jackson on our radars, "Walk Into the Room" on Glittercowboy for example, which is still on repeat in the Schirmchendrink headquarters. Hopefully we'll be blessed soon with new gems coming from these two outstanding artists! 

At the age of 18 Jackson became a vibe curator organizing and playing events throughout LA, working his way up from promoter to producer. About 5 years ago he started an event series/Label called Gari Safari alongside friends and family, throwing warehouse parties and club takeovers throughout the US and in South America. Jackson is further the singer and co-producer of the electronica duo Mont Blvck. Currently, he is focusing on dropping new music under his own name with a full band behind as well as based on collaborations with other producers. There is a lot releases coming this summer and we're glad there's a little sneak peak hidden in this mix. 

Enjoy this sexy mix and the feeling of warm sunsets, looking out to the horizon dancing the days and nights away.

@nukreative is the music project and brainchild of Jamesen Re & Danny Bonnici, two of Australia's most respected pioneers of the Australian Dance Music scene.

One of Australia's most talented musicians and producers, Danny Bonnici is a true wizard of his craft with a long history in both the studio and on stage, most notably with seminal Australian progressive breaks outfit NuBreed.
Fellow Australian DJ/Producer Jamesen Re best known as the creator and visionary behind the truly iconic SUNNY SIDE UP parties during the late '90s and early 2000s, joined forces in 2017 tapping into their mutual passion for deep, melodic organic and atmospheric House Music.

In 2018 the duo made its mark on the global dance community with their hit release "Equanimity" on Magician On Duty with major support from the likes Double Touch, Kora and Sebastian Leger to name a few. Their follow up releases include labels such as Kindisch, Balance Music, Open Records, The Purr. 2020 has started off in fine style for the duo with releases All Day I Dream, Dusk Till Dawn and TRYBESof.

 Spring has sprung here in Melbourne and as the weather improves & the days grow longer, I find myself getting more creative. Not just with music but in all areas of my life. Its a time to plant seeds - both metaphorically and in the physical realm. I've got some production seedlings well under way which are due to be planted later this month (Fingers crossed). 

Anywho, I thought I'd make a Spring Mix to celebrate!  Obvs I've gone for a pretty chill vibe with nothing to hectic... but I do hope this mix takes you from 'hammock to garden' to plant some seeds of your own.
