Diogo's rare appearances behind a DJ booth never fail to bring an atmosphere of joy and celebration.


Over the past decade, he has balanced his career as a graphic designer with his passion for crate digging, and performances in some of Lisbon's most acclaimed parties like Assembling Ribeira das Naus, Anexo, Odysea, clubs like Ministerium, 5A Club, Lux Frágil and a bit all over Europe.


A connoisseur of vinyl and a supportive member of the community, Diogo has called Ghent home for the past 5 years, immersing himself in the rich cultural diversity, the abundant record stores in the Netherlands and Belgium, and translating his experiences to his record collection. With an open mind towards both contemporary and classic genres, he has created his own style by carefully crafting his sets and adding an intricate drive while exploring his ways through alien sounds, downtempo, breakbeats, and old-school house selections.

2024 is the time for his own project, music label, and platform for creativity “LILÀS”. Lilás means “purple” in Portuguese, It all started years behind as a radio show for Collect Radio in Lisbon, now becoming a haven for creativity, a music label, and a platform for collaborations (musical or artistic) with friends.

Subtraxive is an electronic artist and @NoteVariation label boss based in Moscow and focused on mid-tempo classic breakbeats that implement the use of vintage samplers, synthesizers, and drum machines. He started performing as a DJ from the mid-00s. 
The music he produces incorporates acid lines with melodic sweetness juxtaposed against screw-face detunes.

In these genre bending times, the idea of fusing together artists from different corners of electronic music is not so novel. That was the original raison d'etre of Schmorgasbord when it launched with a collaboration between Appleblim and October, but it fast became apparent that the importance was not in what style each artist was, but more more how they would approach the crossover situation. With a leaning towards adventurous, non-conformist musicians, the early test results have shown that the least predictable result is the most likely outcome. From lopsided electro to gurgling acid, freaked out house to snappy dubstep, nothing is quite normal around the meeting point of the Schmorgasbord meal table, but it sure is tasty. 

Now, the focus is simply on encouraging artists who would never normally collaborate to share ideas and fuse their creative energies whichever way seems appropriate, from swapping tapes to sharing studio time, to the good old fashioned remix exchange. Quite how this will manifest in the future is anyone's guess, but isn't that always the most exciting way to be?&#13;
