Swiss-born Turk producer Mehmet Aslan is up next for February's edition of The MUSAR Show, mixing Turkish-inspired sounds with modern electronic cuts, drawing disparate lines between genres, eras and sounds, sewing a distinct musical tapestry that’s all his own, yet all yours to get lost in.

Born to Turkish parents and raised in Basel, Switzerland, a childhood absorbing Turkish music was only the beginning of an esoteric trip down a rabbit hole of fascinating, often unusual music, enrapturing dancefloors with his own record collection alongside his own, equally varied productions and edits, which have seen releases on a range of cult labels, from Glasgow's Huntleys + Palmers to Jonny Rock's Hamam House and on his own imprint Fleeting Wax.

Also, a celebrated radio broadcaster, Aslan's show 'Music For Books' on London’s Worldwide FM sees him blend the pleasure of reading with the curation of personal soundtracks, and was recently translated to a fascinating live performance at the Basel art institutions, Kaserne.
