Sål is a Ratisbona born, Berlin & Munich raised, lovechild of Max Horn and Karl Kobs. Ever exploring a broad variety of genres between House, Leftfield, Break Beat even Downtempo, Slacid and Disco. Having an eye on the floor and interacting with the crowd they always add an eclectic mix to the party and have therefore been invited to multiple venues since they were formed in 2013. This mix mirrors what they have been into lately.

With several releases under her belt Marie Lefur steps up under her MLF pseudonym to deliver the first episode of the art:cast series of 2023. Mixing uplifting, disco-esque, 90s and trance-influenced tracks from her conglomerate Marie compiled and mixed a journey through the sub-genres of House maintaining a powerful and not easing synthesis of the art, pushing the listeners through the full hour of the podcast. The energetic DJ does not seem to slow down in any way, may it be production-wise, Marie just released a full EP under her (more) Trance-moniker DJ Super Jackpot on Community Center and a track on Lis Sarroca's MAAI label as MLF, or as a DJ. With so much energy and talent the French artist is surely one to look out for in the future providing (her) music a groovey yet melodic touch giving it an irresistible twist you do not want to miss. We got to know @luise-gryc as Bookwood invited her to one of the famous parties at Kulterhafen, Hannover in Summer 2022. When we first listened to her sets, we basically had to listen and dance the whole day. And we can't wait to dance, again. This is a vinyl only set. Enjoy.

COSMIC FRIENDS 70 - LUISE

Ansonica is an Italian deejay based in Berlin.

Obsessed with disco music since she was a kid, thanks to the influence of her mother she literally grew up with spaghetti and Italo disco. She spent several years following closely the club scene in Italy, working as DJ Host and PR at Ribbon Club Culture in Central Italy until she moved to Berlin in 2015.

After a long time of being only in the “backstage”, she has decided to start playing and creating her own "colourful" and authentic music style fully shaped by her taste and personality mixing Hi-NRG Disco with diverse House and Electronic vibes.

She has been playing regularly in Berlin in clubs like Kitkat, Bulbul, Klunkerkranich, Oxi, and Ava Club, to name a few, with Disco Bizarre and Toytonics crews. Her mission is to make Disco glamorous and exciting again and bring the dancers on a fresh, sweaty, fun, and always a “little bit Italian” journey.

She is a member of female:pressure, a transnational online database and network of women, AFAB, transgender, transfeminine, transmasculine, intersex [+gender optional], genderqueer, gender nonconforming, a-gender and/or non-binary DJs, musicians, composers, producers, visual artists, agents, journalists and researchers working in the realms of electronic music and visual arts. 

She has launched her own party series in Berlin all focused on musical and social diversity and inclusivity joining forces with other FLINTA artists.

Eva started DJing in Edinburgh where she lived for about 9 years, before moving to Berlin in the summer of 2020. Playing the bass since she was a teenager, she started swapping live music for DJ sets after she discovered clubbing in the Edinburgh underground scene.

Getting inspiration from 70s soul music and groovy basslines, her eclectic selection mixes original songs, edits, and remixes, blending modern sounds with nostalgia: House Music with a pinch of Disco, a touch of Funk and a whole lot of Soul.

With the mix, the German duo tells the story of a couple who slowly wake up from a dream-like state where everything was fine and realize that it's not working anymore. As the discussions become more intense and end in arguments, they break up and decide to go in different directions and move on, but not without continuing to appreciate each other.
