Massimiliano Pagliara's current-yet-classic style can best be described as an eclectic mix of house, disco, electro and techno. Dancers can always be sure of one thing when listening to Dawit Cieo: it will be a fun dance experience. He blends a variety of genres in his DJ sets, which are influenced by Disco & Soul and range from powerful House and Acid to bumping Detroit Techno. 

Dawit is a local newcomer DJ and resident at the famous Freud Club in Frankfurt. With a unique and energetic style, he has been captivating audiences at clubs and events across the city with his dynamic and high-energy sets. 

Don't sleep on him and have an eye open for his next moves, since he is also a producer and there are many unreleased tracks, waiting to be heard by the world and many more are in the making!

With several releases under her belt Marie Lefur steps up under her MLF pseudonym to deliver the first episode of the art:cast series of 2023. Mixing uplifting, disco-esque, 90s and trance-influenced tracks from her conglomerate Marie compiled and mixed a journey through the sub-genres of House maintaining a powerful and not easing synthesis of the art, pushing the listeners through the full hour of the podcast. The energetic DJ does not seem to slow down in any way, may it be production-wise, Marie just released a full EP under her (more) Trance-moniker DJ Super Jackpot on Community Center and a track on Lis Sarroca's MAAI label as MLF, or as a DJ. With so much energy and talent the French artist is surely one to look out for in the future providing (her) music a groovey yet melodic touch giving it an irresistible twist you do not want to miss. Torture the Artist - your source for contemporary electronic music

Torture the Artist is a webzine, or a magazine made for the internet, geared towards those with a passion for contemporary electronic music, with subgenres including Techno, Tech House, Deep House and Eletronica, as well as a small amount of Indie and Alternative. Founded in 2014 by Holger Breuer, a German native and lover of the arts, Torture the Artist now consists of five team members from all around the world.

In addition to publishing interviews, music reviews, DJ charts and track premieres, the webzine hosts out a  podcast series called 'art:casts'. This medium gives DJs and producers the artistic freedom to highlight their different musical styles while not being restricted by factors such as setting, and connecting them to a wider audience. 

Being in its ninth year, Torture the Artist has gained a strong and active online support group, including music enthusiasts to label managers and artists themselves, creating a cohesive community with music as their bond.
