But unlike in the motion picture business, where sequels tend to be watered down rehashes of the original, those Raptures are just getting better and better. It’s all here, the dense and gentle build-up, the tender piano lines, the just overwhelming emotion. Safe bet, we’re dealing with a future classic here.

Two volumes of remixes crafted by brilliant producers who reinterpret the various and rich musical material of the vinyl “FIRE” recorded during the live performance where the Fire Crew met the Dub Legend. 
Kaleidoscopic viewpoints from heterogeneous sound worlds that further expand the horizon of a record that is already a journey in itself.  The cover contains a precious gem: the strips of tape that dub master Sherwood placed on the mixer to define the channels during the live performance. The same tracks were used by the remixers for their reworks, adding unique extra layers to this extraordinary collaboration.

A modern nomad who has travelled the continents with his music, Nu is as diverse in his musical styles as he is well-travelled.

Taking influences from his various homes, such as Switzerland, Germany, or Peru, the producer and trained sound engineer branched out into various genres (deep house, hip hop, trip-hop, ambient, experimental, dance, and even film and dance theatre music composition). Through this years-long musical journey, Nu then found his true calling: instrumentals amalgamated with his electronic production, all held together through solid rhythms.

Nuʼs music has a strong emphasis on live performance. He fuses clean-cut minimal techno with the raw sounds of his analogue synthesis and his self-made instruments. He works with anything from self-recorded samples over drum and synthesizer machines to multi-touch screen controllers.

Sleeves 003 by Daniel Schwarz continues to develop the label’s special sound:
The tracks on "Back In" gain their pull through an intelligent slow progression and fuse melancholic atmosphere with hypnotic grooves.
In epic 9 minutes, the dark dance number "Reach you Right" unfolds itself on a driving bass line. At minute 4, long after you have been pulled into the groove, something sublime happens: A kicking funk vocal is introduced. Its glee turns into something demonic and it suits the slightly haunted mood of the track intriguingly well. A magic, surprising and congenial piece.
After that, the b-side sucks the listener in completely. Arranged deliberately sparsely, the momentum and drive of "If I" are developed only on a modulation of pitch, while "For You" with its emotional vocal sample is a harmonious combination of pop and house.
