Here, Scissor And Thread, the Brooklyn imprint headed by Francis Harris and Anthony Collins share JVXTA’s debut album - Euston Blues. 

The album is a collection of moods and textures, from woozy soundscapes like opener No One Needs to Know and Voyager, to grooving, dusty house tracks like Hold On, Water Temple and Lost in Place. 

Tracks develop from ambient textures into leftfield beat excursions (Beyond) and incorporate thoughtful samples such as the spoken word poetry in The Stolen Child.

Elements of free improvisation and experimentation pepper the album, while a strong thread of atmospheric cohesion winds its way through the eight tracks - making Euston Blues a truly rewarding and rich listening experience. 

"Euston Blues synthesises deep chords, classic house rhythms and jazz laden influences to chronicle an intimate journey of physical and psychological isolation." says Charles Field, the man behind the JVXTA project. 

"Scope is relative and this transposition is explored from the seclusion of a single room to the expanses of the Beyond".

The track "Sadness" (Beatless Ambient Version) completely strips away the rhythmic anchor, resulting in a work of pure, suspended emotion. The sonic journey unfolds within a vast, frozen soundscape of melancholy. Deep feelings are expressed through slow-moving, massive drone textures, and heavily-processed, sustained tones that hang in the air, saturated with reverb and delay. It is an act of deep, profound sonic immersion, where the listener is left adrift in a beautiful, overwhelming sadness. This version is a true ambient catharsis—a deep breath taken in the face of immense feeling.

Zavata: A Slice of Time soundtrack by Ruslan Perezhilo. The film is directed by Fernando Antonio Maffei, produced by Francesco Tribuzio, with cinematography by Lisa Muzzulini and sound by Massimiliano Borghesi. The cover features a painting by Barbara Stefani. This international project was shot in Trieste, Italy, with some post-production completed in the United Kingdom. The film features actors Francesco Tribuzio, Alessia Franchin, Zoe Pernici, Mefehnja Tatcheu, Susanna Gilardi, Michela Cembran, and Lorenzo Acquaviva.
