The boys are skating back into action with “Apprentice,” a three tracker featuring staple cuts from their Punch Drunk Love residency at Output’s Panther Room which first appeared on Frank & Tony's much-lauded Resident Advisor podcast. The EP opens with the title track’s propulsive funk bouncing along, building rapidly before setting the stage for a sample-led breakdown sure to foster eyes closed elation. Next, the deep-sea throb of “Lamento” shimmers like beams of moonlight piercing the water’s surface before a hi-hat shuffle stirs it into an after-hours stomper. Bringing things down nicely is the strut of “Modest Season,” it’s hushed drums anchoring the track as rain drop-like keys drift in and out like the calls of sirens at sunrise.

Co-Owner of Argentinian based Label GrooveBeat, GIO has been influenced by Dj's like Francis Harris, Anthony Collins (Frank & Tony - Scissor & Thread), Oshana (Partisan/Brouqade), Inxec (Crosstown Rebels), Enzo Siragusa (FUSE), Archie Hamilton (FUSE), Anthea (Brouqade/Desolat/One Records), Subb-an (One Records). His style manages to take one step further and create a combining techniques between melodic and hipnotic sounds, undergoing sublime sub generes like Deep House, Micro House, Minimal, Techno. 
  

Dj & Producer, Sergio P. Aka GIO, born 1989 in Ecuador, Uio, now living near Buenos Aires, started experimenting with electronic music in 2009. Inspired by the vibrant local scene and the sound of this time, particlularly at Quito’s internationally renowned club "BLUES", Sergio began to dj at private parties, and underground clubs. In 2014 he started a new fase moving to Buenos Aires undergoing events with his label (GrooveBeat), where he also refined his skills while developing a unique voice as a dj and Producer.
