Based in Vancouver Iain Howie has made quite an impression with  releases like 'Fleur' or 'Visional' which both were released on German/Canadian label Rhombus. His latest music, 'To Forget', though sees the versatile musician leaving his mother-label to join 'Needwant'. With the release of the original version of 'To Forget' fairly two weeks ago, the time has come to expose Whitesquare's reinterpretation. As the original version thrilled listeners with a preference for downtempo/ left field-ish, Roman producer Maurice Uzzan adds rhythmically woven percussions to the layers of pads, the hazy chords and the vocals and therefore creates a totally different vibe as he raises the beats per minute from 111 to 118, too.

Iain Howies 'To Forget (Whitesquare Remix)' will be released November 2nd, 2018 on Needwant.

Joep Mencke, one of the happies campers of them all, and his soul-propelling masterpiece, Asiri, is the perfect piece of music to usher in the Spring. “Music takes me on a journey. It's time for Mynox and Vander to join forces again on their 'Petite Fleur' EP. Produced mostly during Vander's visits to Istanbul in 2019, 'Petite Fleur' and 'Cienlunares' explore dreamy and organic soundscapes. Both tracks seamlessly merge Vander's distinct grooves with the dreamy guitars of Mynox.

'Petite Fleur' blends deep and tribal grooves with atmospheric guitar sounds, travelling all around the sound field. The moog bassline growls gently underneath, supporting the rich harmonies with its soothing tone. We find ourselves floating in an ever-changing soundscape complemented by fluffy melodies.

'Cienlunares' ventures subtly into flamenco territory, making use of hopping rhythms that evoke the relentless energy of latin music. The longing melody of the guitar dances over a deep bassline and catchy percussions.

Staying true to his delicate melodic touch, Amsterdam-based producer Joep Mencke delivers a gorgeous cinematic rendition of 'Petite Fleur'. With this remix. The orchestration is moving and bright throughout the piece, showcasing Joep's sound design abilities.

Mexican-duo The Soul Brothers make their first appearance on Art Vibes with a minimalistic and dancefloor friendly rework of 'Cienlunares'.
