July's Sluggish Selections featuring a Guest Mix from the excellent Waxpoetic head honcho Ciaron Ó under his new alias Tsundoku

Tsundoku is a vinyl DJ who learned their craft in smoky Belfast kitchens, jumping on the decks around 5am when everyone else was too mangled to work a pitch fader. He’s played out for nights like Dialogue, On The Fence, Fiction and has recently started his own imprint Wax:Poetic, showcasing the best Irish selectors and hoping to restore a small part of the city’s underground spirit.

"Irish DJ & Producer Scoobz made himself known within the Irish electronic circuit through a first place finish in the nationally renowned AVA Festival 'Emerging DJ Competition' before going on to capture the attention of national audiences with support from Avalon Emerson for his track 'Goth Culchies' as part of her BBC Radio 1 Residency.

Brought up in the sparsely electronic music-populated landscape of rural County Donegal, Scoobz’ infatuation with club music started from listening to the deep sonic knowledge and playful mixing style of Midland, 2manydjs and Erol Alkan at local Irish institutions such as Twitch, Celtronic & Shine

Now a Dublin Digital Radio resident, Scoobz presides over the show Sluggish Selections which showcases the slower styles of electronic music with a strict rule of not exceeding the 125BPM mark; something that makes him stand out almost as the antithesis of contemporary club culture, as the DJ and producer seeks to recapture the classic, headsy grooves of House, Disco and Electro."
