서울을 기반으로 활동하는 디제이/언더그라운드 활동가 Djilogue는 서울의 언더그라운드 클럽 ‘vurt’의 디렉터, 앰비언트 팟캐스트 시리즈 '꿈 kkum’의 큐레이터, 그리고 실험음악과 테크노를 다루는 디제이로 활동하고 있다. Djilogue는 언더그라운드의 개념을 본질적으로 탐구하고 미지의 영역을 탐험하고 있으며, 테크노, 앰비언트, 실험음악에서 비롯되는 다양한 리듬과 새로운 사운드를 소재로 독창적인 디제이 세트를 들려주고 있다.

Seoul-based DJ/underground activist Djilogue is the director of Seoul's underground club vurt, curator of the ambient podcast series 꿈 KKUM, and a DJ specializing in experimental and techno music. Djilogue is essentially exploring the concept of underground and exploring uncharted territories, and he plays unique DJ sets with various rhythms and new sounds from techno, ambient, and experimental music.

플라이카(fleika)는 프라하 레이브 문화 전성기를 경험하며 성장했다. 체코의 테크노 르네상스가 그를 형성했고, 새롭게 태어난 클럽 문화는 플라이카를 프라하 테크노 씬의 주역으로 받아들였다. 지난 세대의 유적지, 모더니즘 명소; 프라하의 번영하는 밤을 닮은 플라이카의 세트는 직관적이고 정밀한 방식으로 청취자의 마음을 장악한다. 최면적이고 사이키델릭한 그의 세트는 인간의 가장 깊은 부분을 자극하고, 댄스 플로어의 청취자에게 조용히 자신의 머릿속에 갇힌 채 춤을 출 수 있는 몰입적 경험을 제공한다. 플라이카는 프라하의 저명한 테크노 클럽 Ankali(앙칼리)를 본거지로 두고 활발히 활동하고 있다.

The 64th vurt podcast features a three-hour live DJ set from Prague-based DJ fleika, recorded at 夜行性 : nocturnal event held at vurt. on April 13 2024. 

fleika grew up during the heyday of Prague’s rave culture, coming of age as a DJ in booths built for a single night only. The Czech techno renaissance formed him, then the newly-born club culture embraced him as one of its main protagonists. 
Industrial ruins, modernist landmarks; fleika’s trip through the blooming nightlife imbued his craft with intuition and technical precision. His sets are a humble display of his ability to hijack the mind of a listener. He likes his dancefloor quiet. No cheers, no chants, just a stomping crowd, locked in their own heads. 
The Ankali resident digs anything that kicks, melts or makes one’s mind trip, but mainly thrives on diving into the vast depths of hypnotic and psychedelic techno – as deep as it gets.

한국의 짧은 전자 음악 문화 속에서, Xanexx는 2008년부터 서울을 기반으로 DJ/프로듀서로 활동해왔다. 그는 자신을 Xanexx(자넥스)라고 지칭하면서부터 이전의 The Riotz 활동과 구분되는 테크노 음악 작업에 집중하기 시작했다. 이후 그는 ‘Hexa Records’라는 레이블을 설립하고, ‘Grenzsituation’ EP를 발매하여 테크노에 깊이 뿌리를 두는 음악적 자아를 선보였다.
또한 그는 서울 최초의 테크노 클럽인 ‘vurt’의 레지던트 DJ로 활동하였으며, 그 기간동안 한국 테크노의 공연-예술적 위치를 확립했다. vurt에서 독립한 이후 그는 여전히 서울의 다양한 클럽과 축제를 놓치지 않는 DJ로 한국의 테크노 씬을 대표하고 있다. Xanexx는 한국의 대표적인 테크노 레이블/팟캐스트인 Scopavik에서 Refracted, Evigt Mörker, Pharaoh & Yogg, 그리고 Pris와 같은 딥 테크노 아티스트들의 리믹스가 포함된 EP를 발매했다. 또한, 2022년에 ‘Alpha Range’ 정규 앨범을 발매함으로써 그만의 독특한 사운드 디자인 작업을 보여주었다. 그가 디제잉과 음악에서 표현하는 소리는 정확한 척도를 표현하기보다는 비어있는 공간을 채우는 확장된 역할로 작용한다. 사운드 속 각 불협화음적 요소는 공간을 창조하고 해방하는 존재감을 만들어 낸다. 그리고 마침내 그의 사운드는 춤에 국한되지 않고 독창적인 감정과 감각의 경험을 심어준다.

한국의 테크노 프로듀서/디제이이자 테크노 레이블 SCOPÁVIK의 공동 설립자인 Scøpe는 2014년 데뷔 EP를 발매한 이후부터 현재까지 국내외 여러 레이블에서 꾸준히 작품을 발표하며 특유의 질감과 그루브를 가진 테크노를 들려주고 있다.
Scøpe는 디제이 셋에서 각 트랙마다의 리듬 구조를 유기적으로 얽고 점층적으로 쌓아간다. 이를 통해 새롭게 만들어지는 그루브는 청중들로 하여금 무의식적 움직임을 이끌어내고, 이성과 본능의 교차점을 만들어 테크노 음악만이 줄 수 있는 기쁨을 선사한다.

Ness is the alias of Andrea Deplano, a pioneering force in the world of deep and hypnotic techno, with a career spanning over a decade. Raised in Sardinia, with a background in sound engineering and a passion for obsessive rhythms and atmospheric soundscapes, he has honed his craft to masterful levels. His performances and productions are a journey through the depths of techno, with a focus on hypnotic rhythms and immersive textures. Over the years, he has performed at some of the world's most renowned clubs and festivals. He has also collaborated with several respected labels in the industry, showcasing his ability to seamlessly incorporate contemporary sounds in his productions. In addition to his work as a producer and DJ, he has also made significant contributions to the techno community sometimes as an event organizer more often as a label manager. In 2010, he co- founded The Gods Planet, an Italian electronic music label that quickly gained recognition for its innovative and high-quality techno releases.
Through his music and label work, Ness has become an ambassador for the hypnotic techno movement. His tracks are beloved by fans worldwide for their ability to transport the listener to otherworldly realms.

Having firmly established herself as a staple on the underground techno scene in her home-town of Moscow back in the mid-2000’s, Mary Yuzovskaya picked up her record bag and relocated to Berlin, where she soon become a regular fixture at clubs such as ;//about blank, Tresor and minimal bar.   As a result of Mary’s artisan-like approach to the craft of DJing vinyl-only techno, she soon earned herself a reputation in Berlin as one of the most professional DJ’s playing the techno circuit. 

Now based in New York city since 2013, Mary’s habit of engraining herself in city scenes holds true; the move across the pond has seen her work as a vinyl distribution manager at renowned Brooklyn-based record shop Halcyon, launch her imprint ‘Monday Off’, and hold down a residency at NYC institution Public Records. 

It’s been a while since the FH mix series was taken into territories that of darker tones, and we’re most grateful the responsibility has fallen into the trusted hands of someone so capable.

This week's Global Vibe Radio mix is a treat: a specially curated journey from Italian DJ and electronic music producer Claudio PRC.

Born in Sardinia and living in Berlin, Claudio PRC is an Italian deep techno specialist who takes cues from avant-garde and ambient music as well as the abyssal echoes of early hypnotic acid and dub. He’s been active as a DJ and producer since 2006 and released his records mainly on Prologue Music and Semantica Records. 

Co-founder of The Gods Planet label, from 2018 he has been resident DJ in one of Prague’s most valued clubs, Ankali, where he curates the Volumi Dinamici night. Since, he has launched his own label called 012.

Claudio's sonic journeys have become synonymous with the deep techno sound world over, a reputation that has brought him all over the globe including coveted gigs at Berghain, Bassiani, Freedom Festival in Medellin, FOLD London, C12 in Belgium, Tresor and many more.

Scøpe is a Korean techno producer, DJ, and co-founder of SCOPÁVIK. He began his DJ career at club vurt. in Seoul, where he also hosts a regular event called SCOPÁVIK Night.

In 2018, he launched SCOPÁVIK as a record label, further developing his unique musical vision. Since his debut EP in 2014, Scøpe has consistently crafted a distinct sound with each release. His solo EPs have featured remixes by renowned artists such as Anthony Linell, Acronym, Psyk and Svreca, solidifying his presence in the techno scene.

His dynamic DJ sets draw listeners into a trance-like state, eliciting subconscious movement through rhythmic structures that organically interweave and build over time. These grooves culminate in sudden, lyrical moments, creating a profound intersection of reason and instinct. Scøpe delivers a type of joy only techno can evoke, blending raw energy with deeply intricate soundscapes.
