In keeping with the football theme present throughout the album, Gucci Emeralds is the soundtrack to flex to. Think footballers in the jacuzzi, repeatedly popping bottles of champagne inspiring the deep syncopated groove and elated chopped-up vocal samples. A subtle 808 bassline sits comfortably in the foundations, giving the track musings of drill inspired beats with Symrun’s unique dreamy take on them.

Scorpio Red present ‘Gaze-Star’, a collaborative EP from LC and Charles Verni releasing on 18/03/22

A Gaze-Star is “a person who can stare at a leaf or a bottle of BBQ sauce for a really long time without getting bored - It’s someone who breaks the normativity of hyperstimulated life and achieves perfect purity through boredom.”

Through four songs and 11 minutes “Gaze-Star” charts a constellation across the sky - Gaze hard enough and you might see it…

LC is a popstar based in London. “A refreshing young talent and the pop saviour of our epoch” - Brian Eno. 

Charles Verni is a comedian based in London. Recent jokes have been told on Seedlink+, Edited Arts and at the ICA.

‘What Do You Do?’ marks a move away from the piecemeal approach that places Symrun’s first album, 'Care Work', within the sonic camp of introspective lo-fi explorations. This time, Symrun takes a deep-dive into a carefully crafted sound, drawing inspiration from fellow TT contributors Organ Tapes and Dom Sinini whilst maintaining his own sense of musical identity firmly rooted in a nostalgic sound that fuses a love for rap, ‘trashy pop’ and rock. Combined with his self-motivating lyricism, Symrun is able to tackle the double entendre that hides beneath the meaning of the album’s title, What Do You Do? A burnt out youth questioning what the future holds, whilst simultaneously tired out by the question often posed to us by others, What Do You Do?

Your soul wants to show itself in its truest form, strength, perseverance, courage and determination of spirit. In this lifetime your soul needs to cleanse and open its feelings for katharsis.

With the double compilation “Infinite Summer: Ekstase & Fantasi”, katharsis celebrates the return of raves and concerts to society after a long period of pandemic shutdown. A magical summer has past filled with a great pallet of emotional material, ready to be expressed. Therefore, we encouraged a collection of artists we adore to channel their imagination of the greatest way to conclude an endless summer night with into a piece of music.

This resulted in a grand assemblage of harmonious manifestations, naturally splitting into two divisions with opposing focuses. In contrast to the first part of the duology “Ekstase”, which focused on euphoric and dancefloor-oriented outputs, this second part “Fantasi” has a more serene and introverted focal point. The majority of the tracks seem to be meant to stop time in deep reflection with a placid sunrise as the backdrop, exemplified by the purgative opener “salomé” by Aestum, but the listener will find occasional rhythmic outpourings like the unhurried clubby vibes on awbluu’s “Rosalyne (Voxen)” or the beautiful melodic “we will get where?” by Beham.
